The Denver Nuggets have reached an agreement to hire Michael Malone as coach, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

I don't know much about Malone but wasn't he let go from the Kings because he wasn't playing uptempo enough? Doesn't Denver want to play up tempo again? Whut.

Good thing Pete D'Alesandro will be more on the financial side of things in Denver and not involved in personnel decisions.

So happy for Malone. Malone didn't deserve to be fired here. He got a bunch of nobodys to care about defense, and I don't doubt he can do that in Denver. He could make Nurkic more of a focus like he did with Boogie.

He was fired because D'Allesandro and Mullin kept complaining to Vivek about him. By all reports out here, D'Allesandro was a slimy guy to have around and burned bridges all over in his relationships. Interesting to see if they can work together at all in Denver, even though Pete has much less of a voice in roster decisions now.

lol at hiring the guy you just fired

The Kings paid Malone almost $10 million to go away after an 11-13 start that had nine games without Cousins.

Better luck next time, D'Antoni.

Happy that Mike Malone is getting another shot in the league he was unfairly fired as Benji pointed out they went on a losing skid when Cousins was out but also Rudy was a little hobbled and off his game after they got out to a fast start.

I think Malone is worth the money and he will improve himself.
