It's not a conspiracy, it's real. There is just no reason not to do it in open public and get rid of all doubts. But they do it behind the air tight closed door.

well, that would mean they are dumb, because they could just rig the balls and show the actual lottery.

yes, youtube is very helpful. I've been watching some videos of draftexpress lately. their coverage is really good.

Transparency is always good. Should be encouraged.

BTW,

The Lakers are reportedly not a lock to go after Jahlil Okafor or Karl-Anthony Towns with their No. 2 overall selection in the 2015 draft, as they're intrigued by prospects Emmanuel Mudiay and D'Angelo Russell.
With the development of Jordan Clarkson this season, it would be a bit surprising if the Lakers decide to add another guard, especially considering they need a lot more help up front with no true center on the roster (sorry Robert Sacre). It's still very early, but if LA does indeed decide to draft Mudiay or Russell, Clarkson's fantasy value would take a hit. May 21 - 4:38 PM

Makes sense. Russell and Mudiay looked promising. The Lakers might want to avoid Bowie over Jordan alike scenario, and draft whoever they think will turn out to be the best.

I've also read this report. But right now there are still a lot of questions whether Mudiay can make it in the NBA. Also, under his own admission D'angelo really is not a top notch athlete or shooter. I think that it is more likely that the Lakers make the safe play and take the two more touted big men in either KAT or Okafor rather than take risks in Mudiay and Russell. Or maybe even take one of the two big men and make a blockbuster trade for a superstar. It is not unusual for team officials to play coy on their teams plans. It is actually a sin for the teams to declare which players they desire.

IMO Okafor is not going to be available at #2 unless the Wolves screw up badly in their analysis. While KAT is said to be a two way player with potential to become modern era elite center ala Tyson and Jordan, he just doesn't have game to be 15+ PPG player. Offensive skillset for a big man is valued heavily in this league, look at Cousins, Okafor has that 20-10 potential which should make him a solid pick at #1.

That leaves KAT, Mudiay, and Russell. I think the Lakers will go KAT but I wouldn't be surprised they take Mudiay or Russell. I think their potentials are nearly equal.

But it seems like most of Lakers fans prefer KAT at the moment.

I still prefer Mudiay for the Lakers but seeing that an addition of Mudiay to the Lakers could hinder Clarkson's development, I'll probably go for KAT.
