He said he was burnt out in February his first couple seasons because he was always trying to dunk on everybody and be physical and over power his opponents. So, after seeing game 7, it looks to me like he needs to learn when to turn it on and off.
For a man his size who can jump like he can, he should be working on becoming a better paint defender. He really messed up on defense during a fast break as he was the last man back, stepped in front, then stepped back to guard the perimeter player as Jason Terry went straight to the basket.

I don't know if I suck at predictions or good at jinxing. The ferocious Game 6 comeback by the Rockets might just be the great momentum shifter that shifted the momentum away from the Clippers. Now the other LA team is the latest victim of losing a series after being up by 3-1 after the Lakers blew theirs against Phoenix almost 10 years ago.

Chris Paul probably wants Neil Olshey back at this point. Especially when he comes down court and sees that bench as his options.
Though Doc has seemed to unleash Griffin and Jordan. Feels like a wash.
Holy crap, I didn't realize Rivers signed a five year extension. Just a few years ago he wanted to retire. Guess that's why he traded for his son.
Spencer Hawes has three years left on his contract. DeAndre Jordan is a free agent this offseason and would be the third max player on the team. At least everyone else on that bench is a FA. I bet Doc signs Glen Davis again though.
Funny how the Clippers couldn't build a bench over the last two years, while the Cavaliers just bought one and some starters at midseason in exchange for nothing.

Sterling would have put together a team nicer than this Steve Bum-er guy.
With Doc's job security in safety, perhaps he can go ahead and sign his son to a max contract.

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nba/1500/deandre-jordanWoj: DeAndre Jordan wants 5 years, $100M
Team vice president and head coach Doc Rivers said the Los Angeles Clippers are committed to re-signing DeAndre Jordan.Jordan will have no shortage of suitors as an unrestricted free agent this summer, but Rivers said the team will do what they can to keep the big man. "We don’t need to go and get a max player, except for the one we have," Rivers said. "DJ loves it here. We know that, but you can’t take that for granted. There’s going to be a lot of teams [that want him], and if they’re not, there are a lot of dumb teams out there. There’s going to be a lot of teams coming after him that have money." The likely scenario here is that Jordan accepts a max contract with the Clippers, but we'll keep an eye out for any curveballs. May 19 - 9:27 AM100 mil for 5 years? Is this the max max contract that only home team can offer?
EDIT: lol, wrong thread. Can any mod move this to Clippers related?

Done.
It's a steep price for someone who isn't the franchise player, but it is imperative that they keep him. If that's what it takes, so be it, I guess. They have CP3 and Griffin signed through the next two seasons at least, both have a player option for a third year after that.

If the Clippers had shump instead of Rivers, would they have been better off?
Surprisingly they couldn't find any better ring chasers to play for the minimum. He'll, bring Grant hill and antawn Jamison back out of retirement and that would have been a better bench

Bringing DJ back is a must. He's asking much, but he knows that with their cap space change they can't sign anyone nearly as good.
He'll likely get the contract he wants unless the Clippers decide they don't wan to win.

But shump is not a PG.
The Knicks tried it and it was awful.

Mr. 2 billion will have to realize that right now, you will have to pay to win. DJ is entering his prime and coming off his best season, so it's a no brainer. The real question is how they will improve their bench to get that depth of role players to have a better chance going deeper in the playoffs and survive injuries.

$70-80 million is probably fairer market value, but I too expect that Ballmer will open his wallet.

I hope he ditches the Clippers so Marc Gasol goes there. There was a rumor that he wasn't in good terms with CP3 because CP3 thinks DeAndre's a loser for not practicing free throws and not listening to a shooting coach.

He does practice freethrows. He hits them in practice, but not in games. The shooting coach even had him bank his freethrows in order to "wake up " his wrists. That's just some rumor to stir the pot because some other team would like Jordan on their team.
