I am seeing that you still remember and feel all those past words as them can still hurt your ego baddly... I really don't know why yet?

But in one thing you're very right: We can be really stupid and idiot, although we can also evolve and when people attacks us, we do not really have to respond equally, but better. This forum needs fair decisions, no one can curses other's peoples nations freely like these. That's a ban for all whom made it, at least. We can celebrate, join and play with others members, but let's keep at least respect. It's really a shame to see that past and new issues are taking comand in a very low level discussion, with cursing, disrespecting and in a free way like someone is better then the next.

That's simply unacceptable. :scold: :facepalm2:

IT SEEMS THAT MODERATION IS STILL FAILLING BADLY!!! (N) (N) (N)   :scold: :scold: :scold: :facepalm2: :facepalm2: :facepalm2: :turrible: :turrible: :turrible:

Old members, new members, everybody from every part of the world enters here, and if you guys can find a fair and right solution for this space, it's gonna fall one day certainly. Respect is the golden rule of life, and the example is always from above (MODERATION). Excuses and reflections were needed here from the members that can't coexists in a peaceful place with others countries mates.

Really fun tournament, USA dominating throughout was awesome. So many expected Spain to win it and it was just terrific seeing them fall in the quarter finals. Faried should have been tournament MVP though.

You can support USA, Servia, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, China, what so ever.
You can joke, play and celebrate around, OFC you can! YOU SHOULD GUYS!

BUT YOU CAN'T BE SO DISRESPECTFUL LIKE THESE WITH OTHERS! :scold: :cussing: (N)

Enough is enough.

I never pointed finger to Daire and you. Serbian fans(not USA or any other fans) spammed the internet with hateful and jealous comments, or am I wrong?

EDIT: The whole fuck Serbia was a joke lol.

Lol @ sixtime being a smartass and talking about respect. And could you already move past the whole banning thing?
How exactly did it hurt my ego?

The forum is up and running since '02 (iirc), and it's been runnig quite fine thanks to Andrew. Now you come in and start saying the forum needs changes.

Serbians should behave like daire. He first understands at others are doing unlike you.

Re: 2014 FIBA WORLD CUP

Wed Sep 17, 2014 10:10 am

Mr. Mandich, your words are very offensive... "smartass", "idiotic "fans" remind me of that Brasilian idiot" "whole F... Serbia".

I don't need to explain to you nothing, you already understand the hole situation you are always involved with (huge ego, bad manners, offensive behaivor, non positive opinions, disrespect and so on)... And i'm not laughing at all. That's disrespectful and serious.

Yeah, the forum needs changes, good manners and i'm not interested in whom are moderating this or that, cause RESPECT is far away beyond moderation, it's just a simple and easy rule in life. That you still, unfourtunally maybe will never understand.

There's no justify in blaming others for such a bad and low class behaivor. So i'll repeat: The forum needs measures and good old fashioned procedures. :banned:

You and whom cursed others nations gotta be banned, just it.

Re: 2014 FIBA WORLD CUP

Wed Sep 17, 2014 10:46 am

That's enough.

I can understand you being upset at those remarks, but the reason that no action was taken is because we're well aware that was intended to be a joke. Unfortunately, jokes like that can lose their meaning and tone when they're posted online, and sometimes they can be carried too far in the name of comedy, but it was tongue-in-cheek nevertheless.

I'm sorry that you're unhappy with the way we moderate the Forum, but we're not going to ban people that readily. We do have a zero-tolerance policy on some matters, but if you're too restrictive in that regard, you end up driving people away because they feel they can't make a mistake or joke around or anything, believing they'll just get banned if they dare speak their mind. It's a delicate balance where you don't want promote an atmosphere of rudeness and abuse, but you don't want it to be a virtual police state, either.

We won't tolerate racism, bigotry, or hate speech, but we will allow some back and forth between our members, some joking around and ribbing. And while we'll encourage people not to have it make up 95% of their posts, we'll let profanity slide as well. And for the most part, we all get along fairly well, rolling with the punches, joking and arguing back and forth. So I'm sorry, but we don't need to change things and we're not going to change things just because one person has taken exception to something. We want to be a welcoming community, yes, but we can't change everything or cater wholly to the individual desires of every member. And if we're going to be a welcoming community, we can't ban people left and right for minor infractions.

I hope you can understand and appreciate where I'm coming from. If you feel this is unacceptable, then unfortunately we may not be the community you're looking for. The only other thing I'll put out there is that even though we want to be a welcoming community and offer a place where everyone feels comfortable and can have fun, newer members do share in the responsibility of making sure that they fit in, that they've read the rules and familiarise themselves with the tone and culture of the community.

Now, having said all that, I'll say to everyone...the joke's probably run its course at this point. Those who got it either expressed their amusement with a post, or chuckled to themselves. Those who didn't get it or were offended anyway have also said their piece. Let's move on, and leave the thread to discussion of what's really important in life: basketball.

Re: 2014 FIBA WORLD CUP

Wed Sep 17, 2014 11:20 am

Sir, i completely understands your polices and terms. And more importantly, respect a lot your own statements.

But when it comes to a hole nation offense, i simply can't tolerate, that's a rude type of behaivor and that is very clear to me: Those whom comitted those flaws MUST RESPOND FOR THEIR WORDS, the NLSC Forum can't simply be such that corporativist, sorry.

That's prejudice, offensive and very sad to me. The ban is a measure used when members do not follow a simple rule called: RESPECT.
That can't be consider as a joke, funny or open mind opinion, cause cursing "F..." word for a ENTIRE COUNTRY will never mean this! And the worst is that you know this, deep inside you know.

I'LL NEVER REPLY AGAIN THOSE TYPES OF STATEMENTS, YOU HAVE MY WORD ON THIS.

I KNOW CLEARLY, WHEN I AM WRONG, AND BE HUMBLE ENOUGH TO SAY: I'M SORRY.
SO I KNOW WHEN I AM RIGHT. AND I KNOW I AM NOW.

YOU (GUYS) MUST DO WHAT IS RIGHT, NOT WHAT'S PLEASURE FRIENDS. SUCH TYPE OF CORPORATIVISM IS JUST UNFAIR, period.
The NLSC Forum Moderation IS WRONG.

But that's not my forum, IT'S YOURS, and i have a feeling for this. (N) :facepalm2: :scold:

Re: 2014 FIBA WORLD CUP

Wed Sep 17, 2014 11:42 am

I do not appreciate your remarks about the Forum, which are alarmist, absurd, and completely unfounded.

But since you wish for us to have strict moderation, please consider this rule that we have:

No drama/public fuss. If you have some real-life problems or drama with a member from another site, we’re sorry to hear that but do not take out your problems on the NLSC Forum. Sort out your issues privately, please do not use us to settle arguments with members and staff of other websites.

This also includes NLSC related ban drama and nasty criticism of the Forum/community posts meant to cause a big fuss. Do not post or campaign on behalf of a banned Forum member, it is their responsibility to contact the administration and sort out the issue privately. Similarly, if you have issues with the site administration, please contact the appropriate Forum leaders and raise your concerns in a civil manner. Rude and threatening emails or messages and scathing public posts intended to call out forum staff and cause a big scene will not work to your advantage and won’t be tolerated.

That's precisely what you're doing now, causing a fuss and throwing about accusations. So, if you want us to be zero-tolerance, and ban people because they made a joke that didn't sit well with you, or because they used language you didn't like, then we'll have to ban you as well. Rules are rules, after all.

Or, we can be sensible about the whole thing and say that some people didn't appreciate the joke, acknowledge that we can all be a little sensitive about things that are important to us, like our nationality, agree that we're all entitled to be proud of where we're from, and just move on.

Re: 2014 FIBA WORLD CUP

Wed Sep 17, 2014 12:32 pm

No. i'm not doing or saying anything wrong.
Although you already said and did... being corporativist and very unfair more then once. "TO FUCK" IS NOT A JOKE IN THAT CONTEXT.

I saw thousands of times, people asking for bans and not being ban, people offended others and not being ban, (ABOVE IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE!) and got ban for other minor reasons (like i did). So, Cursing is more then a proof for banishment, period. And I am sorry if you dislike my opinion, but i'm right, you're wrong, simple as it can be.

Sir, if i know you will be fair enough to ban me, as well you MUST BAN people whom don't know RESPECT, please feel free and ban me for good, i sincerely promess never come back. That's not being sensible, making drama or anything but the truth.

I've already move on, but right is right and wrong is wrong, period again.
YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THAT, SIR.

And i personally have a feeling for the Forum.
With all due respect, Sir, life is not agree everytime with the majority or a group, life is about being correct and fair.

Sincerely, if it was happening this in any serious forum, people will respond for their acts, by a fair and reasonable moderation.
That's my final reply, i'll not discuss anymore about it.

No, you won't say anything more on it. Partly because you're spouting a bunch of nonsense, but mostly because I see who you are now. Quite ironic that you'd be clamouring for people to get banned, given your atrocious behaviour in the past. Please, take the hint this time.

Sixtime is that Brazilian guy in the FIFA World Cup thread?
Here I thought he was a Serb fighting for his country's honor but he's just in this thread to condemn the forums' blatant corporativism. :(
We should all be ashamed of ourselves. For shame. :shake:

Wow. I'm used to this kind of conversations, so it didn't hurt me.
Hope this behaviour remains at this topic only.

Turkey's performance in 2014 FIBA WC: Satisfactory.

This time luck was with us. We defeated 3 teams with comebacks from margins between 10-20. I expected Turkey to reach to Top 16 but eliminated to Lithuania or Slovenia.

I really liked the squad of Australia. Australians, you can expect more success from this team.

I'm hoping Canada's Bennett / Wiggins / Tristan / Olynyk / Sacre / Tyler Ennis could develop into solid international contender. I think this core will be able to give USA palm sweating moments at times in the future.
