Lakers will offer Carmelo Anthony a max four-year, $95 million contract.

Interesting, but I'm not sure he'll enjoy playing second fiddle to Kobe while he guns his way up the all-time scoring list. If he doesn't somehow end up staying in New York, I'd probably say Houston at this juncture.

Keep hearing, fwiw, that the Lakers have pushed strongly the idea that L.A. can be "Carmelo's team" once Kobe's contract expires in 2 years.
