http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/11168 ... -utah-jazzThe Cleveland Cavaliers are hosting restricted free agent forward Gordon Hayward for a visit Wednesday and are preparing a huge offer sheet to try to pry him away from the Utah Jazz, sources told ESPN.com.
The Cavs, who have the ability to clear as much as $20 million in salary-cap space, are believed to be willing to start a deal at the maximum contract number of about $15 million per season.
The Cavs see Hayward as a complement to young franchise cornerstones Kyrie Irving and No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Wiggins.

Jazz are probably going to match. But if this happened, Waiters would surely be on the move, wouldn't he?

IMO they'd be better off throwing money at Lance. Hayward is a nice piece, but the max is way too much for somebody who will never be an all-star and struggled to shoot the ball last season. Cavs fans can only hope Utah matches. Fortunately, the Jazz love their white guys.

He's a fine player and would be a good addition, but as has already been said, that's a little too much.

Joe Johnson, ring a bell?
Gordon's nice but he's about slight above average in everything and does not stand out in anything particular.
THX TO DOPE-JAO FOR THE SPECIAL SIG! <3

Enjoy! <3 Jao

No legitimate free agent wants to sign for Cavs so have to offer max. Given how much the market is paying for other chump wings I'd say $11-12 mill would be more what he should get even though I think he's a $8-9 mill guy.
