My biggest complaint is why is Wade planning to play? He skips the practice like Allen Iverson and has been 'probable' for every single game this season. I don't care if he thinks he don't got too many chances left to play as an all-star, he should stay home and rest his knees like Oden, Kobe, Rose, and Bynum.

Yao Ming is one of the more recent examples that springs immediately to mind. It's the way it's always been if a starter is injured and has to be replaced. The league selects his replacement, but the coach picks the new starter.

Dirk was selected a starter by George Karl in 09-10 when Kobe was injured.

Both teams lost because of the ugly sleeved jerseys.

Wow. When I posted this it was 152-150, then BOOM.

Irving>Durant>Griffin>Melo, that's the rating today.

Or because of the news that Kobe might not return this season? :P

Durant and Griffin were just 4 points shy of Wilt Chamberlain's All-Star game record.

While I miss the days where players cared a little more about defense in the All-Star game - which in turn made it harder for multiple players to put up big numbers - I don't want to take too much away from what this year's crop of All-Stars did. It was kind of fun to see records challenged and broken, as others have mentioned the dunking exhibition blew the dunk contest out of the water and pretty much everyone put on a show.

Exactly, Andrew.

Players say 'oh, fans come to see dunks and highlights'. WHAT BS, that's their excuse of not wanting to play hard but just chill. Fans still want to see competitiveness. So I like what Wade did to Kobe the other day when Kobe blew by Wade for a easy dunk/lay up in the All Star.

I like this. I like seeing the players have some personality and fun. If anything I thought this ASG was more competitive than most. There was not 1 "dunk contest" that broke out in the Rookie, D-League, or ASG this weekend, unlike years past.

Huh no blocked shots from both teams in this year's ASG. What a bunch of babies.
