And as should be clear to anyone who's even looked at the ratings in either game they work more like a percentile system than an infinite unbounded series.

One think I like about Kobe is his demeanor he is conceited because he has confidence in his game. I can see Lebron slowly turning into that kind of a player through his interview. He has alot more confidence in himself. As a lakers fan, much respect to Lebron and how he carries himself. Lebron does flop a bit, where as Kobe plays straight up 1980's basketball, but Lebron is definitely a beast.

every category should take into consideration the one player in history who did that one thing better than anyone else, give that guy a 100, then rate everyone based on how they compare to the best. for example if you consider vince carter the best dunker in the history of the game you set him as the 100 (not current) and rate everyone else based on how they would compare to carter at his prime. this is just my opinion though. right now the ratings are just whatever they feel like every year

The problem with rating is that they tend to justify the hype for players like Rudy Gay, Joe Johnson, and Andre Drummond. Why not base on actual statistics that are readily available at b-r or hoopdata whatever. Players behavious, tendency, potential could be measured rather more accurately than mere ppg/apg/rpg.

The article is retarded for it doesn't account inaccurate ratings - the formula/equation the devs used (2K Insider lololol) to translate the players' real life court production to videogame attributes or individual attributes being given more weight in overall ratings like how athleticism ratings give a significant bump to overall rating or just plain inaccurate data like those based on athleticism or offensive/defensive awareness or those basketball 'intangibles'.
