Kendall Gill defends the Bulls' honour

If you thought Stacey King was a homer for the Bulls...

Kendall Gill gets in apparent fistfight with fellow broadcaster over Joakim Noah goaltending call

Longtime NBA player, occasional boxer and current Comcast SportsNet Bulls analyst Kendall Gill apparently crossed that line on Tuesday night. According to observers, Gill and Big Ten Network analyst Tim Doyle fought in the CSN newsroom. Gill, as you can see in the video above, called out the refs for "a very bad call," and Doyle took exception to that characterization on-air in a later show. Crain's Chicago Business Report columnist Danny Ecker has an eyewitness account of what happened next:

Mr. Gill approached Mr. Doyle and called him out for his comments, which escalated to a shoving match and ultimately Mr. Gill throwing a punch at Mr. Doyle. The two bumped up against a sign on the wall and a small amount of blood was drawn (though it was unclear exactly how) before the two were separated.

This, of course, is not the kind of behavior you want your on-air talent exhibiting (unless it's "First Take," that is), and as a result, CSN has suspended Gill.

Gotta admire his team spirit.

No.

But looking it up that show may have produced one of the best unintentional jokes of all time:
The show also featured former Orlando Magic small forward Dennis Scott as a coach. In the episode Basketball Tryouts, he serves as the coach who picks the final teams for the juniors and seniors.

What a bufoon Gill is.

That looked clearly a goaltending as the ball was on the way down and going to hit rim likely. If offensive players were allowed to do that, defensive players would have pretty much no chance at rebounding without being called goaltending. Lol.

And Koufos's putback also looked like a goaltending.

Anyways, poll would have been nice for whether you agree with Gill or not.

It was definitely goaltending and thus the right call, though it's certainly unfortunate that moments earlier they missed making the same call at the other end. It certainly doesn't warrant punching a colleague, at any rate.
