While this formula puts too much emphasis on missed shots, it does give a better representation of how a player is using their time on the court.

One flaw I see is in the Assists/Blocks/Steals part. Turnovers should subtract from Assists and Fouls from Blocks/Steals. I'll test it later. Even though there's nothing that reduces Rebounds importance. But I have some other solutions up my sleeve.

If you're worried about missed shots you could always multiply points by the field goal percentage. That way an Iverson-like 30 points on 30% shooting would be roughly equivalent to a Shaq/Ming-like 20 points on 50% shooting. You'd have to change the formula up but that might be better.

I changed my MIP vote to Desmond Mason and Richard Hamilton because of their massive jumps in every category. (Rip is playing better in fewer minutes, some Jordan factor )
