:headbang: Now I don't have to watch his corpse not defend and hog the ball despite being reduced to essentially Adam Morrison.

It's a shame it's come to that. Hopefully they can find an effective treatment and he can bounce back, though I remember reading that his knees are in pretty rough shape to say the least, to the point of perhaps being career threatening. That might have be an exaggeration or ill-informed speculation but it still doesn't sound too good for Roy.

He probably should take the rest of the season off to avoid fucking up his knees further, because if it gets to that point, he may be just forced to retire. Wouldn't it suck if Oden and Roy retired?

It would be great, because then we wouldn't have Roy's albatross or the enigma of Oden looming over the team. We're like 7-3 sans Roy this year. Building around guys like Aldridge, Batum and Matthews while waiting for our vets to expire seems to be the best course of action.

it was only a matter of time. bone on bone is playable for one game then i would guess you need to rest at least a week or two before it stops hurting badly. then it becomes somewhat tolerable again

Man, he would have been a superstar for years to come. But oh well, superstars come and go in the NBA these days. Personally if I was the Blazers GM, I would trade Roy to another team for maybe a 1st round pick and a young player with little to no injures in their whole career. Best to trade a player whose career is almost finished, instead of housing the player and get nothing in return when he decides to hang the dunks.

No team would trade for Roy at this point.
