help with new stat categories

so for all you stats guys, ahem... benji... i'm playing in a money league this year with friends. and they play standard 9 categories except they took out turnovers and changed it to 3pt%. this is a new way to play for me (I've always thought playing without turnovers is sort of a bitch move, but i'm not commishiner so there's nothing i can do.)

so whose stock rises dramatically in this situation? i'm mostly focused on the abscence of TOs. obviously PGs, I like the idea of picking Iguodala since his numbers are real nice if you take out his TOs. and Westbrook too. problem is, these guys have horrible FG% so maybe it's a good idea to pick a team where i can punt FG% every week? and if I pick too many PGs, should i just pick like Camby to help with big man stats, especially blocks?

also, who are some good players that have a high 3pt% as well as 3pt made? I feel like Mike Miller would be perfect especially since he'll be looking at open 3s from the big 3 and he also contributes very well in other categories. i also think Frye would be good at C.

thoughts?

Without turnovers there is a huge bonus to anyone who uses lots of possessions as that is their major downfall normally, not shooting percentage. Without a turnover penalty you can get all their usage almost for free if they shoot a decent percentage. Guards do get a bonus easily since they're not only higher on turnovers, but more likely to be taking threes.

3P% is obvious, just look for people who take nothing but threes. They'll come cheap likely because nobody pays attention to, and many like Bill Simmons ignore logic and deride, the best shot in the game. http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... i?id=mUxvx

Here's 35 guys who would have been solid with turnovers still in place: http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... i?id=PDWu6

I'd be loathe to give this away if I wasn't doing the NLSC league just for lulz and to fill it out, but Troy Murphy is a nice pickup in a league that loves the three pointer. Bombs threes like a guard, never turns it over, tons of boards. His non-defense is never going to hurt you in a fantasy league.

Matt Bonner would probably be a nice piece to have hanging around on the bench in a three point friendly league since nobody else will probably want him.

cool. thanks man. that pretty much confirms i'm going for miller and frye in this league. i think i should also go for murphy and kidd if i decide to punt the FG% category.
