he has played six game, and has been a center by committee so far. i think he deserves more minutes though. maybe its just the language barrier.

glad to see da-zhi is talked here!!!!

as i said before, da-zhi is a good player, especially his three!!!
but what a shame he joined clippers

he joined clips because he thought clips is not as strong as dallas, so that he might get more time to play

yeah, clips might be weaker, but their line up is not bad, and because there is no guarantee win for clips. they have to play with their best 5, so da-zhi doesn't get much time. in my view, if he stays in dallas, he definitely would get abt 15-20 mins a game.

sorry for my poor english!

i figured he would get more PT with the kandiman out with an injury. strange. maybe he hasn't learned the clipper's offense? who knows? if cherokee parks is getting more PT then him, something weird must be going on

Mahokee, chances are the server that hosts your avatar does not allow remote linking to image files, thus the image cannot be displayed. I hope to have implemented a suitable and satisfying solution in the near future.

As for the topic, the Clippers are loaded with big men, and with Kandi and Elton Brand up front, PT has been scarce. Even with Kandi out, guys like Ely and Wilcox are the ones who seem to be getting the time. Could be the language barrier as Llamaj Mim said, or maybe he just doesn't fit into the Clips' system as well as the others. He probably should have investigated some other avenues, rather than signing with a team where he was unlikely to get a lot of PT. Or perhaps he's simply not nearly as impressive as his fellow countryman Yao Ming. As far as the poll goes, the man is alive, but his career needs mouth-to-mouth.

What a stupid cliche.

Ely and Wilcox combine for nearly 20 minutes, hardly getting all the time. Wang was apparently injured and his adjustment was thus slowed. Wang isn't really much of a post player, being more of a shooter (and shooting very poorly this year). The Clippers probably don't know how to play with such a frontcourt player. He's also not very much of a defender or rebounder. Something Ely, Rooks and Parks are. IMO, he's not 275lbs either, or he's on some miracle program that adds 55lbs in a year but doesn't make you look like you've added it.

What a load of shizen. How would you know what wang wants? ...and he didn't choose to go the clips anyway.

Mahokee probably doesn't know Wang ZhiZhi personally, but the reason for Wang's work in the offseason (the whole missing the national team commitments fiasco) was so that he may improve and stand a better chance at playing more time. So it's probably not a stretch to suggest Wang wants more court time, and felt that in Dallas, he wouldn't get it.

Wang signed with the Clippers as a free agent, so he did choose to go the Clippers. Players can be traded and drafted against their will (except for guys like Malone and Payton who have a no-trade clause in their deals), but they can't be signed as free agents unless they want to sign with the team.

Mind you (I apologise getting off the topic for a moment), we've seen trades cancelled because players refuse to report to their new team (Kenny Anderson from Portland to Toronto - refused to play for the Raptors, forcing a trade to the Celtics), and players who don't wish to sign for the team that drafted them (Steve Francis refusing to sign with Vancouver in 1999, forcing the trade to Houston). So sometimes players can beat the system.

What he got traded? So the media was lying about the offer sheet he signed? Boy we've been had...
