It may be jumping the gun, but I was thinking the same thing; Magic in five might have been a bit too generous to the Hawks.

Howard's having a fantastic first quarter, though he's got the benefit of a couple of calls that could've sent him to the bench. That spin on Morris for the reverse layup and the foul was pretty nice, shame he couldn't finish the three point play. 18 and 5 at the end of the first.

Hawks are playing a lot bit better than they did on Tuesday, having led for a while. Good game, but I think Orlando's gonna pull this one out, being the best team in the league and all.
EDIT: Hawks about to get blown out again for the second straight game. C'mon son.
Fri May 07, 2010 12:53 pm
Yeah, not quite as embarrassing as Game 1 but they were dominated in the fourth quarter. Howard's numbers weren't quite as gaudy as I thought they might have been after the first quarter but still not too shabby.

hawks have no chance against this year's Magic team! carter is doing great, howard is .... howard, pietrus...orlando is going to win the title this year, mark my words!

Orlando is looking good so far in the playoffs. Seems like addition of Carter is working out good over the fact of losing Hedo.

Hedo was terrible this season, but Carter.....i'm very glad that he's got something left in him!

3-0 right now,the magic will close the series in game 4 i guess.

Jesus the Hawks suck. Hoping to see Magic beat them by at least 13 in game 4. Would outscore them by 100 points in the series (+25!)
Sun May 09, 2010 1:01 pm
How wrong of me, for having thought that Bucks would be an easier food to cook.
Sun May 09, 2010 8:02 pm
Chances are they'd be handing the Bucks similar losses had they advanced.
Mon May 10, 2010 4:19 am
It would probably still be a sweep, but I doubt Milwaukee would be losing by 29 PPG. Orlando is just a match-up nightmare for the Hawks. Couple that by Orlando also being the best team in the league and Joe Johnson being even more mediocre than usual and you have a travesty of a series.
Tue May 11, 2010 12:55 pm
Another sweep is complete, Magic are back in the ECF and will have ample time to rest before facing the Cavs or Celtics. Meanwhile, Lamrock gets his wish as the Magic won by fourteen, ultimately outscoring the Hawks by a combined 101 points.

Speaking of Joe Johnson, I think this playoffs series performance will affect his off-season movement in some ways. But then given that too many teams got salary caps to waste, he'll probably get near max anyways.
I am hearing the Bulls are really after JJ... Not sure if it's good or bad.
Tue May 11, 2010 3:17 pm
Well its bad if you're a Bulls fan, since he hit his ceiling a couple years ago, and is a marginal difference maker at best. In my opinion, he's a couple years away from being a black Hedo.
Tue May 11, 2010 3:36 pm
Indeed, I'm not overly keen on the idea but even if they do go that way it still wouldn't be the worst move they've made in the past 5-10 years.
Wed May 12, 2010 2:45 am
Great for Magic, i hope they win the trophy this year!
Wed May 12, 2010 2:55 am
This was an awful series. The Magic this year are on the same type of playoff path last season's Cavs were on (sweep-sweep). I hope they don't lose to Clev/Boston next round, but I also don't really wanna see a Lakers-Magic Finals either.
Wed May 12, 2010 4:08 am
Magic and Suns in the Finals.
Wed May 12, 2010 5:38 am
Horrible. Two straight sweeps for the Magic.
I hope Cleveland wins versus the Celtics and then sweeps the Magic. (Haven't got over their sweep of the Bobcats

) Then we'll hopefully see Suns vs. Cavs. I don't see the Lakers beating Phoenix more than twice this year. But of course we all knew the Magic had it easy and I didn't even expect to see the Hawks make it through one game.
Actually, I've got a good question. How did the Hawks even advance to the quarterfinals

playing a bogut/redd-less bucks?

Fear the Bambi moment ran out of gas in Milwaukee.
