Blatche's desperate and hilarious attempts to record a triple-double. He even begged Yi to let him rebound a ball with 8 seconds left.

that was hilarious

That's even more pathetic than Buckets Davis attempt at a triple double. At least Davis didn't plead to some of the Jazz players and decided to jack up his shot and rebound it.

Million dollar talent, two dollar brain.

This made my day

Poor Cartier Martin, Blatche will never pass him the ball now.

This guy is just dumb. Simple and plain.

Hilarious. Good that he was having fun while doing it. Too bad he didn't get that last rebound though. Yi's shy smile just cracked me up too. Also notice how Yi does try to yield the space for Blatche after the shot. What a nice guy.

Pretty much sums it up.

He will if he needs his tenth assist.

suicidal Blatche LOLing!

At least he's not shooting on his own basket, or screwing up the game.
When you're playing for the Wizards and against the Nets in an empty building you gotta have fun someway.
The still stupidest play I've ever seen is Chris Mills shooting on his own basket but Samaki Walker defending and blocking the shot. Can't find video of it though.

That was awesome.

I laughed so hard at his useless effort.

I was really starting to like Blatche until he had his little dispute with Flip Saunders and started doing childish crap like this.

+1. Can't believe he would cry like a baby after Martin got that last rebound.

I can't believe you guys are ripping on him this much.....it wasn't like he threw a temper tantrum, punched Yi in the head, shoved some fat kid off the court then pulled a gun on his teammates.
He just desperately wanted a rebound to get his first triple double. Maybe Benji can back me up with a stat but not many players in their NBA careers record a triple double. I mean if someone can make it to the NBA, get paid all that money and still get excited about personal achievements enough to look like an ass and not jeopardize the outcome of the game then more power to him.

Triple double's aren't as rare as they'd seem to be. But they certainly are very rare for players 6-11. Especially ones who are just 23.
Blatche's never had a game with more than seven assists other than this one. And all his games over five assists come this season.

Granted, but just because it could've been worse doesn't mean what he did is above reproach. His other antics as of late are a factor here as well. If it were a lone incident I think most people would find it more amusing and/or less unreasonable, but given it comes on the heels of whining about being underpaid after having a couple of big games for a team that gutted its roster, refusing to re-enter a game after being benched for a perfectly legitimate reason and then demanding an apology from his coach over it, it's the latest incident in a string of immature, selfish and frankly downright bratty behaviour.
