"It was freak, man," Curry said of the injury, which he started to feel just days before he was expected to be back in the lineup March 10 against the Spurs. "Stuff that happens to me, I don’t really understand."

Oh man the knicks are going to miss the playoffs because of him.

Yeah, if only they were healthy! Then they could really make a run this season.

Wow. This is as shocking as Ricky Martin coming out of the closet.

I know it's been said before, but Curry has to be one of the greatest disappointments of the last decade. I still think he probably could've had at least a slightly better career if he were motivated and in-shape throughout, one of those players who you could describe as solid if not spectacular, but it was not to be. On the bright side, he's a 100% career three point shooter.

And wasn't one of of those two shots a buzzer-beater?

Why did they even consider passing it to Curry on the last second play?

I doubt he was the first option but with 0.9 seconds on the game clock, five seconds to get the ball inbounds and what was presumably drawn up ultimately falling apart, Curry ended up with it.

If only he was that clutch throughout his entire career, and I'm sure that wasn't clutch, it was probably just luck.

I suppose by definition they are examples of clutch shots but certainly not clutch players. It's a fun sequence to watch because it's back to back threes in the waning seconds of a tie game and the fact that neither of the players are known for three point shooting also makes it entertaining as well, but it doesn't make Patterson or Curry great clutch performers.

A clutch performer is merely someone who can get a shot off.

The luck is more important, but people rarely remember the shots that miss.

I'd still narrow the term down to players with a reputation for getting the shots off and/or being frequently trusted to take that shot, making a distinction between the players like an MJ/Kobe/Bird/Miller who displayed a knack for performing well under pressure and someone like Sundiata Gaines, who made an impressive shot when the opportunity came along but generally wouldn't be in the game when it hangs in the balance or the first player a team would look to given the choice.
