http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/s ... ef:nbahpt1Nominations closed Monday with Malone and Pippen as the only locks for induction next summer amid a list that includes Dennis Rodman and Mark Jackson as possibilities sure to spark strong debate. The original Dream Team, the 1992 U.S. Olympic squad that was the first to incorporate NBA players, would also seem to have a good chance for enshrinement because of the way the group influenced the development of basketball around the world.
I'd have to say, both players would be well and truly worthy. Scottie Pippen was one of my favourite players in the 90s so I'm hoping he'll get one of the spots. I'd also like to see Rodman there as well.

Dennis Rodman consideration, finally.

Pippen and Malone are locks and I could see them enshrining the original Dream Team (eight of the 12 players are enshrined already as it is, Pippen and Malone would make it ten) but it'll be interesting to see who else they induct as the list of potential snubs is steadily growing. If I had to pick someone from the coaching ranks, I'd probably go with Tex Winter or Rudy Tomjanovich. Perhaps they should allow for a couple of extra inductees as far as NBA players are concerned in the years when there are no-brainers like Jordan, Stockton and Robinson this year or Pippen and Malone next year, especially with the growing list of former players getting turned down year after year. A couple more inductees every year couldn't hurt, but they could at least make an exception for some overdue inductees.

I think it should be Malone, Pippen and Rodman. I have nothing against Mark Jackson, but I think Rodman was a far bigger influence to his teams and their success.
