According to yahoo sports the new orleans hornets have signed power forward Ike Diogu, i think he's a decent backup for David West. What do you think?

I Knew that like a week ago.
But anyway,i think Diogu could even be an all-star if he would get 40~ minutes,But knowing the Situation of the Hornets,If Diogu Will get about 15~ Minutes per game,He could be a nice backup. I think about 10 ppg~.

I'd like to see how Diogu plays when given adequate playing time. As far as I recall, he played pretty well in his rookie year as well as his sophomore year. He hardly got any minutes after that and I've completely forgot about him.

In his rookie year with Golden State he played 69 games at 15 minutes per game and averaged 17/8 per 36 on 60% shooting. (And for those people stuck in old stats, 10/6 in 24 mpg in his starts.) I don't pay too much attention to NBA gossip, but I can't see why this guy isn't playing or starting outside he's already been labeled as a loser.
His career averages (2311 minutes!) are 18/9 per 36 on 58% shooting. 73 minutes in Portland (as like the 15th frontcourt player off the bench) are the only time he's never been anything worse than "average player" (which means rotation player in the NBA due to various reasons) yet he can't get time.

He was a nice college player if that's anything to go by. Let's hope he gets his chance to play.
