Lopez is supposed to have a higher shooting percentage, block more shots and grab more boards, hence, all the rookies there have ever been should have been big men.

I'm not going to argue with you forever, it's good that you have your own view, enjoy this, and watching Lopez play, he definitely is a special player. I'll watch the ROY and how his team just forced a game 7.

But Rudy shoots an even higher percentage than Lopez and he's not a big man.

I'm not a fan of Lopez in anyway. I couldn't care less if he existed or even won any award. I don't know why you keep thinking this.

But of course. I forgot discussing things on discussion forums is so terrible. Silly me.

I think, like Durant, he won ROY based on how good he's going to be, rather than how good he was....overall, no issues with the call, as it was expected....

Its pretty cool that Chicago forced a game 7 against a shorthanded Celtics team in one of the best playoff series of all time. Derrick Rose had an impressive Game 1 in Boston and led all rookies in scoring.

Too bad all statistical evidence points to Brook Lopez being the best rookie of the year.

I'm not complaining about Rose winning. I don't care who wins the awards, they're chosen by idiots who don't pay attention to anything outside their tiny nexus. Predicting them is incredibly easy, just read their mid-season (and in many cases pre-season) awards and that's who they'll pick at the end of the season unless they need to gin up a phony "debate." That's why in that other thread I listed my picks, not my predictions of who would win. It is gobs more fun to debate who "should" win, but nobody wants to debate anything anymore.

What I was arguing against was the absurd notion that Rose was head and shoulders above every rookie ever and therefore deserved the landslide because no rookie could compare this season. He didn't, he was in a pack of multiple very good rookies. Especially since there were a number of rookies who did just as much, if not more, to win games.

And also against the silly "the Bulls made the playoffs because of Rose so he's the best" poppycock.

Actually, my personal prediction mid way through the season was that there will be a co-rookie of the year this season. One being Rose and the other one availble for me to argue against myself. Perhaps it would have been suitable to actually give it to two rookies. Anyway, that's just what I thought.
