Three-Point Shootout field named

Kapono, Bibby, Daequan Cook, Danny Granger, Rashard Lewis and Roger Mason.

Would have liked to have seen J-Rich get a shot at it, but ah well.

Money's on Kapono with Mason a close(ish) second.

Agreed....

My money is on Kapono and Mason. J-Rich should've gotten a chance to be part of the three point shootout.

My prediction is Kapono, Mason and Lewis in the finals. And coming from a Raptor fan, I got the biased opinion of Kapono winning. Sucks to see J-Rich didn't make it as well. He got the potential to give some of these guys a run for their money.

I'm gonna go with Roger Mason on that one, I don't know if Kapono can do it again.

I'm also disappointed that J-Rich won't get a chance to be the first player to win the dunk contest and three point shootout. That field is pretty good all the same, they all rank up there in both three point percentage and three point makes per game though Kapono notably doesn't rank amongst the top fifty in the latter category. He's a two time defending champion though and he's connecting on 42% from downtown so it's a fair enough selection.

I'll also have to go with Kapono and Mason as the favourites. If I have to pick just one, I'll go with Kapono to threepeat.

So I'm the only one cheering for Granger...

Or Mason, Kapono won't make it

Kapono for three-peat.

GO Daequan Cook, GO-Go-GO!

While I like El Bibberino, its a travesty that J-Rich didn't make it. I reckon I'll root for the Bibbster anyway.

Kapono will win it, he is a 3 point beast

Well, we are reliably informed that he can go 240/300 from beyond the arc.

It was 280, not 240, he's the greatest!

Kapono will sure win it. So my vote will go for him.

Was it 280? In that case, there should be no doubt about the threepeat.

I hope Kapono gets the 3peat... if not him, then Granger

Roger Mason, who?

Definitely would love it if this guy won it. He was a no-name last year coming off the bench in Washington, now one of the main reasons the Spurs are playing so well and one of the main reasons for the Spurs' success this season.

I hope Kapono wins, I need something to be proud of/to cheer about as a Raptors fan this season.

If not him, I hope Roger Mason wins.

So Coook is the new champion.
Poor performance by Lewis in the tiebreaker. (N)

Congratulations to Daequan Cook for coming through in the tiebreaker. That was probably the most exciting part of the contest, his comeback to force the tiebreaker. Not one of the best shooting performances across the board in this year's contest even though there were some decent scores, Rashard Lewis' performance in the tiebreaker was challenging Michael Jordan's all-time low for a while there.

Well, the 3-point shootout turned out to be quite equal, in the first round, the first and last was divided by only 5 points, while in the second round by only 1 point. Cook turned out to be the best, Kapono wasn't far from three-peat, if he would've made the last money ball, he would've won. For the slam dunk competition, I'll go with J.R. Smith.
