Dwight Howard and LeBron James have been asked by the NBA to coach the rookie-sophomore game during February's All-Star festivities.
The exhibition will be held on Friday night, the beginning of All-Star Weekend.
"That should be cool, a lot of fun," Howard said.
http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... more_game/This will sure turn out interesting, I could see Howard playing some jokes on the rookies and I would absolutely love to see Lebron yelling at the ref for a travel call.
And also, who normally coaches the Rookie-Sophmore games?

It's usually an assistant coach from the teams with the best records.
But this is a nice new idea. Still my favourite part of ASW, and this will only add to it.

Shaq must be the coach of the rookies, that would be funny!

Not always, they've also brought in NBA Legends (usually associated with the city that's hosting All-Star Weekend) or old coaches with similar connections.
Nice idea to have a couple of current stars coaching this time around though.

That's interesting, I can imagine some funny things Dwight and Lebron's going to pull off already.

Shaq would be a disgraceful coach. He would be better doing guest commentary.

Apparently it's Dwyane Wade that's gonna be coaching against Dwight, and not Lebron.

It will also be the lead assistants from the All-Star coaching staffs as well, JN13 was right about that. They have brought in other people to coach the Rookie game before though, usually someone connected with the host city. In any case, the lead assistants will serve as the head coaches in the Rookie game with Wade and Howard being a part of their staffs for the contest.

Best to avoid forums and any sites that display scores until you get a chance to watch the game, then.
