Sean Williams Is Unimpressive In D-League

Fri Jan 09, 2009 10:19 am

Sean Williams is participating in the D-League Showcase and isn't doing himself or the Nets any favors, according to an NBA official.

"He's getting what he wanted," the NBA official scout said, "and he's not exactly helping them out. I feel sorry for their team because he's hurt them since he got there."

Wow, he was a high flyer for the Nets last year on certain highlights he was making, but now he's not the type the player he made himself to be. Maybe it's because he's not getting the money like he was making since he's making less in the NBDL. Although, if he can't improve in the NBDL just to make it more bigger in the NBA. I guess he probably need to be overseas.

I thought it was a bit strange when he fell out of the rotation this season but with an attitude like that I can see why the Nets wouldn't want him around. I think it definitely highlights the advantage of the D-League though, being able to send a player like that to hone their skills and hopefully grow and adjust to life as a professional athlete without having to cut them loose and compete with other teams to sign them when they've made progress and are ready for the NBA. It's not a good sign for Williams though.

Well, word has it that Bill Walker has that type of same attitude just like Sean Williams.
