Apparently, Ime Udoka, Aldridge's teammate in his early years in Portland, was the one who sealed the deal for LMA to become a Spur.

Never underestimate the importance and impact of personal relationships, politics, and other behind the scenes machinations when it comes to deals getting done.

Basically just hold the player hostage. Worked with Deandre and Aldridge.

No wonder LA wants Metta, he's not letting anyone off a plane next off season.
