I don't really follow kids basketball so I don't really know much but the other day I came across this Emmanuel Mudiay guy because there was a discussion how he made the right choice ditching college for pro league.
He's drawing Russell Westbrook comparison. It's easy to see why.

Jahlil Okafor. D'Angelo Russell is overrated.

As a knicks fan i have being keeping an eye on the college ranks for quite a while now.
For me the player is Jahlil Okafor, he is the best low post player i have seen in a while but i do have concerns about his rebounding at the next level.
Karl Anthony-Towns i think has a great deal of upside, kind of reminds me of Andrew Bynum with a little more class.

Potential wise: D'Angelo Russell. He can pass very well for a college player.
Talent wise as of right now: Jahlil Okafor, and it's not even by a close margin.

I am not sold on Okafor as much as hype becuase he kinda feels like a prototypical standard NBA big. He looks more like a solid deal than something that will Shaq you out of mind.
He can rebound well, score near paint using combination of technique/size/footwork. But has poor shooting, is average athlete(play NOT above the rim), average explosiveness(if not under).

another Prospect that really impressed me so far is : Karam Mashour
he's israeli but playing in NCAA
From Morehead collage , he's now a senior
he have not a High Numbers but really a talented [] Not cause he's from israel....xd[]

Agreed. Rarely a player at his age has polished post skills. Not off the chart athleticism but that's trumped by his footwork and moves. Who was the last true post scoring prospect? Bogut? Duncan?

We have hypes on bigs almost every year. Just in recent years, we had Unibrow then Embiid.
Jahlil Okafor kinda reminds me of Emeka Okafor and Michael Olowkandi both of whom were great scorers downlow in college.
Just wondering, would you guys draft Jahlil Okafor over healthy Joel Embiid in a same draft class?

Boogie, despite being a headcase.

The more I watch Okafor the more I see of Eddy Curry, sure Okafor is a beast in the post but he seems to have little interest in rebounding or defence which at his size in the college level is alarming.
If he doesn't do it now then he won't want to do it vs guys his own size in the nba.

You can quote this. I will go ahead and say Emmanuel Mudiay will be a superstar in a few seasons from now. More I see, I think he'll at least be as good as John Wall and possibly Derrick Rose-alike.
Any dark horse you guys see btw?

Justise Winslow. A fearless, aggressive wing player from Duke. The kid reminds me of a young James Harden. The way he moves and gets to the rack. His Euro step is gorgeous. He's too strong, more explosive and faster than Harden. He's also an excellent defender.

Stan Johnson. good defense too.
