Ridiculously early all-star talk

Sun Dec 21, 2014 6:39 pm

So Gordon's cooled off a bit but the west is still stacked with guards. Kobe & curry will get voted. Cp3 & harden as backups. Westbrook and Lillard in the mix for wild cards.

Sadly Rose will get voted in the east but Lowry deserves the start. Wall is probably in as well. The big question for me is does Kyle Korver make the team this year??

Oh hell no. I like Korver, but he is NOT all-star material. My sneaky vote in is either Deng or DeRozan.

Kyle Korver? I'd say no. Jimmy Butler would get a reserve appearance before Korver does. With Wade, Irving, Lowry, Wall, and even Butler, that's a lot to overcome.

It's unfortunate that there will have to be some snubs on the West guards. So many are playing well enough to get a nod. The NBA should consider tossing a couple guards on the East just so they get to be All Stars.

Hmmm... Should probably look something like:

Curry / Bryant / Durant / Griffin / Davis
Harden, Lillard, Paul, Thompson, Marc Gasol, Aldridge, Duncan (Cousins, Dwight out due to missed games, record of Cousins's team)

Irving / Wade / Lebron / Melo / Love
Wall, Lowry, Teague, Butler, Millsap, Pau, Vucevic (Rose and Noah miss out due to missed games, mediocre play; Bosh is due to miss some and the Heat suck)

It'll probably come between Teague and Korver for that second ATL player spot - both deserve it, but Teague has the raw stats. Crazy how weak the East is.
