I like how if Granger goes fifteen feet in or to the left he goes from best to worst.

Im wondering why a pg is the worst under the rim shouldnt it just be a layup. He seems good at those

That's actually common, it's because they're short and going up against seven footers. Or a collapsing defense.

I wouldn't mind seeing the charts redone by position.

Interesting that three quality bigs - Bynum, Millsap and Hibbert - are the worst at those spots in the post. Obviously they're prime candidates to take a lot of shots there and the more shots you take, the more misses you can accrue, but they're all pretty adept scorers. I'd have thought it would be someone like Rubio, a smaller guard more likely to have their shot changed by bigs patrolling the paint.

I'm surprised that Boozer isn't anywhere on the Worst list. I thought Rose might also be there for one of the spots from three point range. While he can knock them down, his three point percentage isn't outstanding and that's still a shaky part of his game.

Tell him to finish it. It's been 2 months already, that slacker.

I still prefer this type of shot chart presentation:

Offensively challenged Celtics have 3 players and 4 spots on the chart as the best shooters. Seems like they make their living out of that right side driving lane and corner three by Allen.

Really surprising stuff here. Rondo and that midrange shot amazed me along with Hibbert and Bynum being the worst that close to the rim. Weird stuff.

Rondo has improved his midrange shot, though take away the defense and give him up to ten seconds to line up a shot directly in front of the basket, and he only shoots the ball marginally better. Weird how that works out.

I was going to post this. Ben must browse reddit too.

Pretty surprised by Hibbert, Bynum and Stoudemire. Conversely, pretty surprised by Dante Cunningham in the paint. I thought it would've been Chandler or Bynum.

Since benji watched the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference a few months back (I know he rambled about it, he might have even read the presentation papers! *GASP*) I'm going to guess he found out about this guy and started stalking him ever since.

If that feature ever comes back, my vote goes to the KG @ Miami style chart.
