Ron Artest (Metta World Peace) to play in.. England?

Ron Artest said he is going overseas to play during the lockout, but not where you might think.

Instead of playing for one of the prestigious teams in southern Europe, he plans to play for either the Cheshire Jets or Glasgow Rocks of the British Basketball League.

"The teams aren't good, but I'm going there to finish a movie, so why not?" he said.

Way to endear yourself to future employers and teammates, Mr Peace.

Stern and the owners have to be loving this (at least until such time as players actually start playing overseas); I'm sure they figure each player that looks overseas is a small step closer to the union cracking or being decertified. The latter is probably unlikely though.

Apparently he was considering an NBL gig a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe he should just go there and stay in England.
