Every other time that Phil Jackson has retired, he's been replaced by Tim Floyd. It will almost certainly happen again.

Before this offseason I would've suggested Kurt Rambis and I guess it could still happen if he's abruptly let go by the Timberwolves, but I could see Avery Johnson at least being someone the Lakers pursue.

Has there been any indication that Phil Jackson is even considering retirement?
Mon Sep 14, 2009 12:36 am
Some. I believe he's in the final year of his contract and there were a few reports that he was in no hurry to sign an extension.

Until last month: Kurt Rambis

Nate Mcmillan said he will only sign 1 year contracts with blazers because he doesnt wanna hang around waste their time if he doesnt do a good job. maybe if things dont work out with blazers her might jump ship.

Mark Jackson. Him and Kobe will have great chemistry together.

Kobe will retire and then coach.
Mon Sep 14, 2009 3:44 pm
He can be a player-coach like what Magic and Bill Russell did.
Mon Sep 14, 2009 6:42 pm
Magic was never officially a player-coach was he? He coached the Lakers briefly in the 1994 season but he'd long since retired by that point.
