who do u think would be next years MIP... i knwo it way too ealry... but my pick would be stephen jackson.... he sould have been this year after improving form 3 ppg to 11

If Jackson continues to start for the Spurs, he'll have a good 2003/2004 season, which may earn him Most Improved honours. But you never know who will improve - Troy Murphy was a candidate this year, he might continue to improve next season. Ricky Davis may not be a candidate next season with LeBron James likely taking away some of his exposure (and points).
Darius Miles could be a candidate...if he can be bothered to do what's necessary to improve his game. It's hard to say. There's a lot of players who didn't have great seasons this year who might emerge next season - perhaps someone like Tayshaun Prince.

u can only get the MIP is u improve form all ur other seasons, u can have MIP is one year u were 22ppt the next 3 years 5ppg then 27 ppg???

You'd be a candidate, but you probably wouldn't get it, under the reasoning that you've just had a couple of bad seasons, while another player has actually improved his play (or more accurately, his statistics).
To be the MIP, you don't need to show consistent improvement over a few years - it's based on who has improved the most over the past season. Take Jermaine O'Neal. More or less the same statistics over his first few years in the league, but a dramatic improvement in his second year with Indiana led to being named MIP.

first thought... Darius Miles?

I think if the Raptors get a Point Guard, Alvin Williams will flourish.
How about Jerome James/Calvin Booth? Either one could get serious minutes in Seattle next season leading to an improved game.

I'm sure the Sonics would like to see that happen. Calvin Booth hasn't exactly been the player they thought they were signing back in 2001. I believe at the time of his injury a short way into the 2001/2002 season, one journalist mentioned he had fewer blocks than Earl Watson...

My vote would go to Kwame Brown...
600th

has vince carter played enough the past two years to qualify for MOST IMPROVED if he has a break-out year?
if he could play with the fierceness he had in the olympics... he would be one of the top 5 players in the league.... he's just gotta stay healthy, and get aggressive...
before you argue that "he doesnt play D", niether does DIRK... and he's at least top 10

Vince has had a couple of great years though, followed by a couple of injury plagued ones. I don't think a return to form in 2003/2004 would really justify a most improved award - unless he did something really amazing, like averaging a triple double, or something similar.
