http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgnsAfter losing 12 of 13 games to start the season, P.J. Carlesimo has been fired as Oklahoma City Thunder coach, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Assistant Scott Brooks will take over as the interim coach beginning with Saturday night’s game against the Hornets in New Orleans.
No surprise at all, finally got the axe haha.

Again, hardly his fault. Look at what he's working with.

As usual, it's the coach that takes the fall after a bad start. Not particularly fair given the Thunder's roster, some of whom have already missed a few games with injury. A season and 13 games into a rebuilding era is too soon to give up on a coach in my opinion, let alone 13 games into an 82 game season. Still, we've seen how Clay Bennett's group give things a chance so it's not altogether surprising.

A perfect fit for P.J. Carlesimo to coach at is the Chicago Bulls. I'm sorry but I really don't believe Vinny Del Negro is the best coach under John Paxson belt. I say bringing in Carlesimo would be a better shape up for Chicago because it's not his fault on why the team (OKC) is never good. Although, look at the team period. They need a better cast of role players, and some star players to compliment Kevin Durant.

I would've preferred someone with Carlesimo's experience too, I was disappointed that they didn't get someone like Avery Johnson or Doug Collins this past offseason. I'd be surprised if they fired Del Negro this early though since they're still paying out Scott Skiles and the Bulls are doing alright compared to last year.

Hehe, Carlesimo is choking.

Well, any chances that the Thunder will once again throw another season just to become a lottery team to get Blake Griffin?
Because I'm seeing that as a most definite yes. Where more and more that team will suck, and more and more money is going into Durant's pockets. Unless they cut down his contract on how much he makes, and then his agent will come in demanding a trade.

Yeah, I don't see them bouncing back from their poor start the way the Bulls did in 2005 or the Suns did in 1997. I don't think they'll actively tank as much as they'll just struggle their way through the season.
