Lakers

Thu May 15, 2003 10:15 am

I still have total confidence in the Lakers. I mean they were 3-2 down to Kings last year and weren't they losing to Portland in their first Championship season?

They'll win!

Thu May 15, 2003 10:23 am

Same here :)

Thu May 15, 2003 10:46 am

I think they are done. I must admit they always play well with their backs to the wall but this is a weaker team then the last 3 and the loss of Fox has hurt them pretty bad. I think the Spurs will clinch it in the next game.

Maybe i'm being a bit quick to count out a champion but i guess we will see.

lakers will win championship

Thu May 15, 2003 12:24 pm

hummmmmmmm......I dunno.....
I mean, everything is possible.....
I have 2 admit that I still don't see the Spurs or Mavs ( or Kings) winning the NBA title.....Would be kinda weird after 3 years of Lakers domination.

BTW, if Horry made that fuckin shot, Lakers would have clinched tomorrow IMO... But now, I would say the Spurs will win in 7. :?

Scre you bitch! How could you bloody go for the fuckin' Spurs... Man- so much for inspiration!!

People are allowed to follow the team of their choice. Not everybody has to follow the Lakers. Your post was unnecessary - please do not repeat this behaviour.

Thu May 15, 2003 2:26 pm

Sorry man... I sorta siked up cause everyones pissin' me off today.

Thu May 15, 2003 2:41 pm

It's cool, just make sure it doesn't happen again. :)

i still have faith in lakers of course, ive been a fan for 11 years im not just gonna say there down and out.

I have a HUGE feeling Horry is gonna hit a big shot down the stretch tommorrow, probably not a game winning shot, but definately a big shot

I have a feeeling kobe and shaq will combine for about 60-75 even 80 points of the lakers.
both will play huge.

A little off topic, where the fuck did Medvadenko pop out from lol
13pnts in 15mins lol, that should be horry with the 13 lol

anyway..............I still believe lakers will win the series, they did it last year agaisnt a better team.

Fri May 16, 2003 1:05 am

Medvedenko can play like this. There´s nothing wrong with his offense, its his defense that keeps him on the bench for a long period

Yet he has the "lock" symbol in NBA Live

Alright, and let's also ignore the point being made in posts.. like in mine where I was saying how wrong NBA Live was in this instance..

I think everyone is overlooking the fact that Shaq is not what he once was, granted he is still the best Center, but not as dominant as before, he is slower, heavier, and still does not rebound well.

After a while, people pushing, shoving, hacking, grabbing wears you down, especially when you get older and especially since it has gone up since he won a title and it does not get called. :)

lol, you posted expecting all non Lakers fans to be "inspired" and awed by the Lakers that they would all turn around jump on the bandwagon and agree with you?

everyone is entitled to their opinion  and in my op. you were not very inspiring :D

But as for my two cents I think the Lakers will win game 6 and if Shaq comes to play in game 7 they will win that too, otherwise its the Mavs Vs the Spurs.

Well you didnt really explain your point well didya

Fri May 16, 2003 1:21 pm

I predict the Spurs will win Game 6, something like 110-82...OK, so I cheated.

Fri May 16, 2003 1:59 pm

you know i was talking with a couple of mates today, and i just said..."i bet the spurs will win like 110-80.."

well...not really...but it was worth posting...wuhuhahaha...i'm evil...and bored may i add...

I think this should be better for the lakers~~ imo, it poses as a wake up call for the team owners to get off their fatass and do some serious shopping in the FA market for some quality players that they can uses as a consistent sixth man. I say they should trade horry and fox and maybe even shaw. next year they should start george.
I hope they can get juwan howard~~

Heh!! (N)

Fri May 16, 2003 5:14 pm

I agree this will only do the Lakers good. It was a wakeup that they need something beyond Kobe and Shaq. They need to pick up a decent free agent, someone who will take a paycut in hopes of winning a championship and therefore raising their stock.

Fri May 16, 2003 5:19 pm

I think they can only get a veteran, like a Karl Malone or Pippen. Who do you think L.A. will be able to get?

And if they get no one, will they be contendors next year?
