Great move by the Mavs to sign him back but for 5 years and 31 million dollars??? Is he worth THAT much?? What's wrong with the Mavs front office?

Already had a thread on this too. Diop is a winnah, offensive rebounding and not using possessions is underrated, etc.

Foster and Chandler already have long term deals at more money. Bynum isn't going anywhere, nor Haywood. Przybilla makes more. Milsap, Powe and Lee don't bring the size or defense and use over twice as many possessions.

mmmh...I don't think so Alejandrov011, I would take Diop over Jerome James ANY day. The surprising thing isn't that they are giving a big contract to a bad player, but that they are spending so much money on a player that can only get you low post defense and a couple buckets here and there.

If Bogut can get 14 million a year Diop can sure get 6.
