Hoopshype are back with another test.

I must admit I was a bit out of my depth with this one as I first started watching the nba in the 89-90 season.

I got 7 right.

12/15. Missed Joe Kopicki, Junior Bridgeman, and Winston Garland. Recognised most of the rest, or at least remembered the names since they were in front of me and subsequently placed the faces, and guessed a couple based on a familiar name and vague memories of "I think he played for them at one point".

I got 10 right. Some were absolute guesses, while there was 3-5 of them that I knew for sure who it was.

Got four right and I didn't even deserve it.

Andrew and Q, you both are younger than me, how da heck do you guys know these players. They were playing literally when you guys were 3 or 4.

Quite a few of them played into the 90s, so a combination of trading cards, video games, recap shows, and whatnot. I've also made a few retro rosters for NBA Live over the years. As I said, seeing some of the names jogged my memory.

Thanks to a lot of tape and UBR/Games, I got 13/15.

One was a lucky guess as Fred Roberts sounded the whitest of them all.

Missed Bridgeman and Kleine.

Got 9, wasn't born until the 90s, started following the NBA in 2005.

Only knew Carr and Walker, but I was able to narrow others down based on knowing one or two of the guys on the list and being able to definitely wasn't them. I guessed Sleepy Floyd just based on the facial expression.

That's what it was for me, I only got the players who's careers lapped into the 90's but one or two of them I guessed.

Yeah, looking it up on Basketball Reference, he came back for the lockout season in 1999. I do remember him showing up after years out of the league, which according to B-R, were spent playing in Greece and Italy. He would've been in the official roster updates for NBA Live 99, and from memory, the default rosters of NBA Live 2000.

Even in 90s era, it was hard to catch a game in Canada on TV as a kid because they didn't air basketball much at all unless it was a marquee match up like the playoffs series with the Knicks and Bulls. Even for 90s players my memory's bleak at best unless you are talking about marquee teams like Vancouver/Knicks/Jazz/Jordan/etc.

Heck even some NBA Jam player names sounds alien to me.

I got 6

I did surprisingly well since I've only been watching the NBA since 2004. The last one was a lucky guess since he looks alot like Ronnie Brewer

Yeah the same in England in the early 90's the only teams that were shown on TV were the Bull,Lakers,Celtics and Pistons really.
