2014 NBA Trades And Transactions

The Toronto Raptors have acquired Lou Williams and Lucas Nogueira from the Atlanta Hawks for John Salmons. Salmons' contract is non-guaranteed to the Hawks will play only $1 million of his $7 million salary, creating $4.5 million in cap space. The Raptors didn't have a first round pick in 2013 due to the Kyle Lowry trade, so Nogueria effectively becomes that player. Williams is owed $4.5 million in 14-15 and is a versatile scoring option in the backcourt.

Toronto Raptors received Lou Williams and Lucas Nogueira

Atlanta Hawks received John Salmons (Expected to be waived)

Looks like the Hawks' primary target is Luol Deng so they made this trade.

As for the Raptors, Lucas Nogueira seems to have some potential to be a NBA caliber big as a defensive force if developed right.

I have a feeling the Raptors will retain Lowry and the Heat will obtain 32 year old undersized Jameer Nelson for 3 years.

That's exactly what came to my mind when I read about it... :(

Yesterday John Wall got the max. Today Irving's got it. Tomorrow it's Lillard.

Sad to see Meerkat no longer a magician. Hoped he would spend his whole career there. Also hope he's not Mo Williams' replacement.

Jodie Meeks has agreed to a three-year, $19 million contract with the Detroit Pistons. Meeks became a proven scorer this season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Meeks represents the first signing since Stan Van Gundy took over basketball operations.

Overpaid!!!

Cartier Martin has agreed upon a one-year deal with the Detroit Pistons. Martin averaged 5.6 points in 14.7 minutes per game last season for the Atlanta Hawks while shooting 39.1 percent on three.

Marcin Gortat has agreed to re-sign with the Washington Wizards on a five-year,$60 million contract. The Wizards traded for Gortat before the start of the season following the injury to Emeka Okafor, surrendering their 2014 first round pick in the process.

Gortat to re-sign with the Wizards.

The Golden State Warriors and Shaun Livingston have agreed upon a three-year, $16 million contract. Livingston had an outstanding season with the Brooklyn Nets and gives the Warriors a versatile backcourt player with good size.

Oh uh.. Brooklyn bridge is falling down..

Not a fan of Hennigan's moves so far. Giving up too much in trading up for Payton, selling low on Afflalo, waiving Jameer and signing scrubs for the sake of hitting the salary floor, drafting Aaron Gordon...

This is the worst though. It's not a ton of money, but this guy would have lucky to be a vet minimum guy after that awful year in Charlotte. He was a nice player for Chicago, but it's been all downhill since 2009.

Potentially a decent pickup if he can recapture the form he had in Chicago, but that remains to be seen. As you said, it's not a ton of money, but it's still a little more than they should have gambled on him, given the way his career has gone since leaving the Bulls.

Undrafted free-agent guard Bryce Cotton of Providence has reached agreement on a partially guaranteed two-year contract with the San Antonio Spurs, league sources told RealGM.

The San Antonio Spurs and Patty Mills have agreed upon a three-year contract. Mills became a key rotation player for the Spurs this past season. Mills will be out for several months with shoulder surgery, but is expected to be back by January. Marc Stein reports that the deal is worth $12 million over three seasons.

European forward Damjan Rudez has reached agreement on a three-year deal with the Indiana Pacers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Celtics Avery Bradley's new four-year, $32 million contract is fully guaranteed with no options, agent Mitchell Butler said.

The Indiana Pacers have agreed to a four-year, $18 million deal with C.J. Miles.

The Orlando Magic have waived guard Ronnie Price, General Manager Rob Hennigan announced today.

Good to see Bradley come back to the Celtcs but the truth is, I'm curious who will run the two-guard. Smart or Bradley?

Also, love the Spurs signing Mills. He has the potential to turn the tides of the game

They'll probably trade Rondo (I hope not) and insert Smart as their starting PG.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have emerged as the frontrunner to sign Pau Gasol.

Marc Stein reports that Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook made direct pitches to Gasol as well.

Gasol is also receiving interest from the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls

The Bulls were flying to Los Angeles for a face-to-face meeting with Gasol.

Can't blame Gasol for leaving LA. :|

Is that a credible confirmed news? I heard something similar couple days ago, something like 5 year 60+ deal.

If that's true, he must have liked a lot about the Raptors' situation. They stocked up on some young talent. And that Lowry didn't meet with any other team but the Raptors...

Damn. He's the first big domino piece to fall in this year's FA madness. With Gasol and Melo looking elsewhere but Miami, this could turn out to be ugly for LBJ and his 2 sidekicks.

With FA market running thin, I'm hoping the Heat looking to trade deals that they could come up with. Love or Noah wouldn't be too shabby, just my wish.

Any chance Melo says "fuck it" and signs with Miami? Or is his ego too big and he goes to Houston or Chicago?
