2014 Playoffs: (2) Seattle vs. (7) Vancouver

Postby Lamrock on Thu Apr 17, 2014 1:08 pm

Ellis shot is no good and we have our full playoff bracket set. This one should be good. A rematch of last year, except Westbrook is healthy this year. Grizz are of course better than their record but the Thunder are (sadly) my pick to go all the way.

Thunder in 7.

Nice touch.

I'm going to risk selling the Grizzlies short and say Thunder in five. Durant's having an MVP season, they've been good all year even with Westbrook in and out of the lineup, and right now Westbrook is playing and seems healthy enough. Oklahoma City won the season series 3-1, I think they'll win their Playoff series 4-1.

Haha.

I hate Grizzlies since it left the city so I will go with the Thunder in 6. Gonna be a physical series. Watch out for a brawl between Perkins/Ibaka and Grizzlies frontcourt.

OKC winning in a sweep as Memphis basically give the Mavs no chance to win a playoff game this year. FUCK MEMPHIS

Grizzlies in 7. Westbrook shoots too much, making the Thunder trade him in the offseason.

Why bother using OKC when SEA is sexy?

Why is it a foul on Gasol? That was a good shot contest to me.

Yep, was a clear foul. You can hit the hand but not any part of the arm.

Gasol didn't hit Durant in the wrist or something. He just went straight up.

Which play are you talking about? There clearly was a contact near at the end of the release. That's why KD shot an air-ball. Going straight up doesn't matter, this isn't a paint area nor street ball. Shooters' arms are protected, period.

Agree, there is no way Durant would've shot an airball. Your only hope now is for the NBA to call the foul a mistake again :D

Even if the defender was standing still with hands up and shooter was the one that made the contact, it doesn't matter, it's the defender's fault. The defender has to make the contact with the ball first to have any case.

Gasol reached in, trying to get the loose ball and somewhat Durant got a little hit on the hip as he try to sell the foul....

It's even more obvious foul. It's not even a loose ball contention. It was a pass that was completed. Gasol was bit too aggressive with that steal attempt that he was in Durant's zone. Durant didn't even need to go Reggie Miller (or Dwade) and create contact, he just needed to put up the shot before forced out of bound. And say <3 for freebies.

Just look where Gasol ends up at after the play.
