Dang it. One more wasted year likely for Dirk.

hopes he plays good in dallas. that plan to get a max free agent is a bust.

It's a decent move, a fair price for a point guard who's very much a one way player but pretty good at what he does, namely shoot and distribute the ball. Not the big move that the Mavericks wanted to make though, I'm sure.

Me as a Mavs fan, I always try to figure out how you could rebuild the 2011 team and Calderon could be the Jason Kidd of this team, being a worse defender though. But it is so important for the Mavs to have guards who can run the pick & pop with Dirk, something Collison never understood and Mayo did not do well either. (thats why they brought in Mike James, ridiculous).

So getting a playmaker who can be deadly in combination with Dirk on the pick & pop (both are great shooters, so it's very tough to defend), is a good step, especially for a fair amount of money if you ask me.

--> good move

As expected, Mavericks are targeting Bynum. You know what? I like the idea of giving him a shot. If he is healthy, he can be a real contributor. His character sucks, but same goes for Dwight. Bynum would still be the best offensive big man Dirk has ever played with and the second best defensive big behind Chandler.

As much as you've got to be aware of and concerned with his history of injury problems, I agree that he at least deserves some consideration. When healthy, he is one of the best centres in the league. A two or three year deal in the $10-12 million range wouldn't be too bad and after last season, I don't think you're going to have to offer the max to outbid too many other teams for his services. Anyone who does is going to be bidding against themselves, I imagine.

Enjoy watching Bynum if Mavs get him. Sixers fans definitely did.

Though Bynum might remain healthy in Dallas same way Chandler did who had injury filled seasons previous to being with the Mavs.

The Mavs are still soft as all hell, but at least the Jose/Dirk combo will be fun to watch.

Bynum said he won't work out with the teams that are interested in him this offseason. Bizzare as Sauru with his team this season.

I like Cuban's aggressiveness though. He's refusing to overpay for mediocrity in likes of second tier free agents but is willing to go win-big or nothing. Bynum sounds like a big big risk but it can pay off big time like Stephen Curry did for me in NLSC fantasy league. LoL
