Reggie Evans to the Nets; sign-and-trade

Brooklyn is finalizing a sign-and-trade deal with the Los Angeles Clippers for Reggie Evans, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Could be for either $1.4 million or $3 million.

A second round pick probably.

EDIT: Yep.
Source confirms Brooklyn is nearing a sign & trade deal with the Clippers for F Reggie Evans. Nets would send future 2nd rounder to Clips.

Nets would take Evans into their $3 mil trade exception. Clips wouldn't see 2nd rounder for a while. Not sure what year 2nd is.

Source says Evans deal is three years at $1.6 million per. Almost done.

Decent move to shore up the bench. Worth giving up a second rounder and a small trade exception.

Definitely. With that Euro as starter & Evans as backup, the PF spot is shored up. Means Humphries is probably as good as gone given Nets will re-sign Brook Lopez.

Reggie Evans was a crowd favourite for the Clippers. He is one of those Rodman type guys who can get your team extra possessions. Although, he is a liability on offense late in games with his poor free throw shooting. Not a bad move since the Clippers signed Lamar Odom, but I think they could have gotten more for Evans.
