Suffice to say it hasn't been LeBron's week. Also, it's been brought up in other threads, but why is Bosh taking that three with eight seconds left in the game, plenty of time to get it to someone else? He has shown he can knock down threes before, I vaguely recall him hitting some clutch shots in the regular season for the Raptors (I can't cite any off the top of my head so I may be mistaken), but unless you've got around a second left and he's the only option to avoid a five second inbound violation, that's not something you'd want to draw up or see the team improvise.

Andrew, I actually had a same question, but I have to admit I'd rather have him taking a wide open 3 than Lebron taking it while guarded heavily. Bosh was wide open so I didn't think it was such a bad decision. Though it'd have been better if he took more time adjusting for the shot since he had so much time and space to launch a shot. And actually the bigger question from most people was that why Bosh was even on the floor since only thing the Heat needed was a 3. Answer: Spoeltra...

Wade expressed that he wants more touches in the late critical moments but I didn't think Lebrick got the message since Lebron said that he feels the needs to be more aggressive for "my team". The fuck... More thing we need from Lebron is him being more aggressive for his team, instead how about a sharing, in decisive possessions. The Heat's been playing sets for Lebrick for last plays and look where we are. 1 and 18. Spoeltra needs to draw plays for Wade more in those situations.

I do not think this is accurate yet cant find the stats to back it up. But i recently remember a stat of 8 different players have taken GW shot attempts this season for the heat, and that may have gone up.

Can't back it up but Wade's been pretty much sitting in the corner in most cases in recent events. All that while LeBrick's been bricking hard. Not going to say all those 18 are his fault but Spoeltra definitely needs to give Wade more plays rather than relying on LeBrick Iso too much.

It wasn't a terrible look but for a guy who hits around 5-10 threes total per season, with eight seconds left on the clock, it's definitely not the wisest decision.

I know i'll sound crazy but i think they should try making plays for Chalmers,yes Chalmers.He showed in ncaa final that he is so clutch and he showed it vs Bulls,this what they are trying right know in the late game situations doesn't work so i think they should just give it a try...

The Heat's problem is not that they lack "clutch" players but they don't execute plays in potential game winning situations.
Isolating LeBron doesn't work anymore in the closing seconds of the game in the regular season. It worked for the Cavs in the past regular seasons when he was still with them but not anymore. Especially not in the playoffs. Last time a LeBron iso worked in the playoffs was 2007, game 5 against the Pistons.

No wonder Wade cried like a girl (I'm guessing it was Wade and Mike Miller). The Heat was supposed to be his team and yet LeBron is being given the ball late in game only to chuck it because there is no set play, only an iso.
As for Mike Miller crying, Miller knows he sucks.

I'd still take LeBron or Wade taking a contested three over someone who - despite making a few threes per season - isn't a bonafide three point shooter by any stretch of the imagination and I still feel eight seconds is enough time to try for something better than that. Having said that though, I would agree that Bosh being on the floor rather than James Jones (or simply the decision to leave Jones on the bench, period) was a blunder by Spoelstra. If LeBron and Wade are Plans A and B no matter what then at least have a shooter like Jones, the reigning three point champion after all, as Plan C.

I guess the knee-jerk reaction is to question what exactly Chris Webber won during his NBA career, but he's got a point. The Heat are beyond saying the right things before and after games at this point, it's about them pulling themselves out of this tailspin and taking care of business. Executing better in crunch time, making the right decisions, making sure everyone's on the same page, sorting out the pecking order and so on. That includes making a decision on Spoelstra.

What's really odd is everyone assuming LeBron's motives they way they have been since it was decided he was supposed to be our "villian."

Trying to hide the dunked-on video wasn't standard PR/agent image crap but an evil plot to hide THE REAL TRUTH! Skits with teammates, laughing with teammates, dancing with teammates is not being a young guy making friends with his teammates, being one of the guys and thus helping team morale, but some kind of hate crime. The Decision was the worst thing in human history, not standard athlete foot in mouth plus media incest promotion. The "seven championships" was not a joke or confidence in abilities, it was arrogance. Standard boilerplate answers and mild truths is strange. Crying isn't undying passion from a winner who cares so much but some sort of scandal.

I do get that, but to me that last sentence comes off as being a bit pessimistic. I would've thought he'd say something along the lines of "We're not worried" or "We'll bounce back" but I suppose that sentiment is there, perhaps just worded a little differently. That's the part that stood out to me, nothing out of the ordinary about the rest of his remarks.

I think the "rock bottom" is a qualifier of sorts. He's saying, look, we've lost some games, we need to figure it out and correct it. But even if we don't we still have faith and confidence in ourselves, and you can't count us out because even if we do lose every game we're making the playoffs so we aren't going away. He said something similar at the early part of the season that people lept on before forgetting about it when they went 21-1.

I wasn't directly reacting to you, but a nebulous ether that's out there acting like it's the craziest thing ever. And just really seem to hate this guy for no clear reason. I've never really seen the sheer glee people appear to have at him not being a omnipotent god. (And they all blame him because they have unmeetable expectations.)

It's like they've forgot all the time they spent making him into the sport's biggest star starting around 15, and lavishing endless attention on him during his second coming of age period (18-25) and doing so in a way that nobody else has gotten. I mean this guy was literally seen as this otherworldly savior for his franchise, state and city. I don't know why they're trying to hold him to the standard of a god and freaking out over every little thing. (Okay, I do.) Comparing him to Jordan and Kobe (not on the court obviously) like the media wants to is weird. Jordan was part of a college title team with "better" players during that age and still had to build his star once he got to the league. Kobe fought up from the bench with a premier organization on the other side of the country from him with one of the greatest centers. LeBron was GO from before he was even drafted, so many people forget how ESPN was televising his lopsided blowout high school games.
