Williams Now A Clipper!

Mo Williams that is. Cavaliers get Baron. Don't get the deal for either team. Cavs pick up a bigger deal than Mo's, while the Clippers lose the NBA's great neckbeard. (though he may be passing the torch...)

baron's last year is non-guaranteed so he's getting cut. clippers can't save any money by cutting mo. plus the Donald gets rid of his favorite Clipper.

Great, but what will Blake do? Davis was making alleys with him.

I don't think Mo Williams will fit in LAC. He's a score-first type of player and not really a guard that can orchestrate an offense. Good trade for the Cavs (coz they will get 2011 first round pick)! (Y)

LOL at this. Clips lose the pick but get Moon too. he's an expiring contract but should fill in at the 3 when Aminu plays poorly.
well, Mo has never been good at creating shots for himself which he has proven his year. At least he has Blake to draw some attention away from him. He better start working on his alley oop passes.

Hope this doesn't go through as Blake Griffin is out of LA as soon as he is able to. Baron Davis is finally motivated to play & this is what happens (N)

No wonder why I don't have a favourite team. What's the point?

Sterling hates Davis. Thinks he stole his money. I think this is Sterling getting some personal revenge rather than it being a good deal for Clips. I could (maybe) understand if it was a straight up deal, but shit, Clips giving up a 1st Rounder & an unprotected one at that. Seems unfathomable to me. Then again with their lottery drafting ability (Griffin aside), maybe it's not a bad idea to give their picks away.

That's some serious man love for facial hair right there. You can also see the jealous look in Brandon Jennings' and Chris Bosh's eyes.

With a player like Griffin, you just need to put the ball up around the rim. Not to take anything away from Baron Davis, but I think any player competent at passing the ball should be able to find him with lobs.

I'm inclined to agree with X, this deal seems a lot more about running Davis out of town than it does making a move for the future or saving money.

sucks for Davis, but still surprised that the Cavs would trade Mo considering he was pretty much the reason they broke that losing streak

Bledsoe finally got a role.

About Blake: Give him the ball, that's it.

You can't just give Blake the ball yet. He has been shut down quite well a few times this season. Remember, "he doesn't even know how to play basketball yet." He can't carry a team. Especially when he sacrifices defense for rebounds when he could use the same ability to contest shots well.

This trade was all business. The Clippers aren't going anywhere this season. They probably have enough season tickets thanks to Gordon and mainly Griffin, so they save money by doing this.

Meanwhile, Baron can chuck in Cleveland with an increased usage rate, making it look like a bad trade.

What about the Bobcats? You made the best dynasty ever with them and they just got Sean Marks!

Strictly talking about lobs though, pretty much all you need to do is toss the ball at the rim and he'll go get it. I agree he's not a player you can give the ball to and let him create, at least not at this point of his career.

Now that Crash has been traded, I'm pretty sure they now have none of that original team left. Marks won't be in Charlotte for long.

He was. Marks has just been waived, along with Peterson, Derrick Brown, Sherron Collins, and Dominic McGuire.

Back on topic: The trade was stupid.
