Kevin Martin should be an ALL-STAR!!!

Look, hear me clear on this, the guy averages 22.12 PPG, 2.3 APG, 4.0 RPG in just 36.15 minutes of action in his 6 years of starting (I excluded his first two years because he did not start yet). The guy plays with his heart, he brings us highlights, he is the driving force of the rockets that can really help them AND he looks like Jay Sean.

We should vote for him as an all-star on nba.com this coming january 2011.

Well the western conference have a lot of guards that is better than him. Also career average doesn't matter in choosing an allstar, it is the present stats.

I still think he deserves it. He is the "MVP" of the Houston Rockets well for me at least. Oh, and he averages 23.3 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 2.8 APG in 33 MPG.

What is the Rockets record? I think even Monta is having a greater season than him.

It's not his fault though..that is why he should be an all-star..cause he is the only person who contributes well enough on a team that is struggling.

But he ain't that consistent as Martin.

So having 9 and 16 (1st game), 28 and 10 (2nd game), 36 and 16 (3rd game) is not consistent? It is not all about scoring.

Martin is the biggest piece of their puzzle. He can score at will. Scola is a low post player so everybody feeds him the ball but overall, scola is nothing compared to martin.

I think you forgot about Yao Ming, the literal and figurative biggest piece to the Rockets.

If Scola isn't in the Rockets do you think Martin will be as effective? Have you ever heard of inside and outside play?

If Scola isn't in the Rockets, then Martin would absolutely play much better. Maybe he would average 30 a night because he'd be carrying all the scoring load so coach would give him a lot of minutes. He's great at getting fouls that leads to free-throws(one of his strengths) and w/o Scola, the lane would be unclogged thus leading to open lanes to the basket which Martin will use for driving to the basket for easy points or drawing fouls.

Have you ever watch how the Rockets play? They will go into the post (Yao or Scola) of course the opponents will double the post player which is because it is easier to score inside then the post player will past it to Brooks or Martin for an open jumpshot.

I think there are some occasions that Brooks will drive and dish it to Martin.

You have a point but what you should really consider is Martin's ability to get space for the open shot.
