I would love to spend five minutes inside this cat's head.

He currently isn't working, and still lives off the over $20 million he made during a brief NBA career which -- unlike many pro athletes -- he managed and invested very diligently.

Miner found a new home in Las Vegas and dabbled in buying and selling real estate. His new fix is nutrition. Miner says he's lost 25 pounds with his personal trainer in the last year after reaching 280 pounds.

Good for Baby Jordan.

A link from that Harold Miner article.
Dwight Howard provides dying woman with bucket of memories
Kay Kellogg, who has Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma, had only one thing on her bucket list: meet Dwight Howard

And then he asked her why — why is he the only one on her bucket list?

She looked at him and said, "Because some people get a choir that sings them into heaven and some people get a chariot that rolls them into heaven. Not me. I want to be slam-dunked smack, dab into the middle of heaven by Dwight Howard."
Good gesture by Dwight.
Still doesn't excuse him from being hammered in the post by the Celtics. Hells yeah!
HE'S USING HYPNOSIS!

Certainly seems he's been more careful with his money than many of his contemporaries. His career on the court might not be something to emulate but if he's still living comfortably off the money he made from a very brief stint in the league - admittedly with a sponsorship deal on the side - that ended some fourteen years ago, it further highlights the irresponsibility of other players who are just a couple of years out of the league and already broke. If he is looking to become involved with basketball again then perhaps he could help young players on managing their finances so they won't crash and burn once they reach the big time.

Exactly, Andrew. I have ZERO sympathy for cats with no respect for money(see Eddy Curry). Good for Miner. The league should hire him to counsel some of these young knuckleheads.

Alrighty then. I guess that's his call to make and he seems to be doing it for a good cause but seems like the kind of memento you'd want to have once your playing days are over. Surely other things he could auction.
