Teams that should relocate/swap names

Postby kingjames23 on Wed Aug 04, 2010 6:10 am

UTAH GRIZZLIES
CHARLOTTE HORNETS
NEW ORLEANS JAZZ
MEMPHIS BOBCATS

keep the players where they are. just swap the names. then my brain will stop hurting as i try to figure out why nobody thought of this before.

you know the Jazz came from New Orleans in the first place...
Charlotte should have always stayed the Hornets
and Bobcats actually do live in EVERYWHERE in the U.S.A... so... it makes sense

Utah is the only state with an NBA team where one would "possibly, though unlikely" find a grizzly bear... outside of Oregon, and formerly Washington.
and since Portland's name makes sense...
and Seattle will hopefully have the Sonics again someday...
and its too bad Vancouver couldn't keep an NBA team... the only city where the mascot made sense
Utah gets Grizzlies

now if only the Lakers could move back to Minneapolis.... that would prove problematic

just a fun topic to kick around.

chime in if you can think of any other teams that should swap names....

Reminds me a little of the opening of Baseketball. "The Oilers moved to Tennessee where there is no oil. The Lakers moved to Los Angeles where there are no lakes. The Jazz moved to Utah where they don't allow music."

I think there is no need to rename these franchises. The names symbol their origin and their history. The Jazz are in Utah now and I'd rather have the Utah Jazz in the league than the New Orleans Jazz, simply because that's how things went and established themselves.

Jerry Sloan = Utah Jazz. I can't think Sloan without "UTAH JAZZ". Utah needs to be same. Also this franchise had finals with this name. Stockton-Malone, Dantley, Williams-Boozer, AK47 and much more...

I think the Cleveland Cavaliers is better with "Cavaliers" only, since the city of Cleveland has disappeared. LOL

But what if the nuke doesn't detonate and just falls to the ground? Someone must stay inland to manually detonate the bombs just in case something goes wrong.

Have you forgotten your very last assignment benji? The detonator didn't work, someone had to go back and manually detonate it. It was suicidal to go back and more so for a single man, so the entire team agreed to return to the target area determined to accomplish the mission so once it is finished the entire team could all go home and watch the games together...

Have the nightmares left you benji? Only you and illini survived that massacre, and illini is now half the man he used to be because of that. Never forget your former team...never forget illini's legs!...never forget benji...never forget.
