most aggressive nba star?

Postby j.23 on Mon Jul 14, 2003 5:55 am

who do you guys think is the most aggressive nba star when it comes to getting in the line and such.. and i dont mean pump faking and jumping into your defender.. i mean driving to the basket and attempting something..

for me, i'd have to say jerry stackhouse.. and AI.. what about you guys?

The way you say it it kinda sounds like you're going more towards the cutting and slashing aggresiveness so I'd have to say Marbury or Kobe, except alot of times Kobe doesnt get to the line cause hes so strong at finishing around the basket the refs dont bother to call anything

Thats my opinion

even though kenyon martin is my favorite player, a lot of times, it seems like he will settle for a hookshot or jumpshot than take the ball to the basket. i also don't see tim duncan taking the ball to the basket all the time either.

paul pierce and allen iverson drive hard to the basket and often get fouled and they also score the bucket for the 3pt play.

and also, jason kidd from estonia, i have the feeling that the only players that you like are on the all star team. for example: your favorite players seem to be tim duncan and jason kidd. and they are great players that i like but i have the feeling that you don't give respect to quality role players and bench players.

What respect do you expect him to give to bench players if for him those 2 don't need any support? He must change his mind before he starts to think anyone coming from the bench is a great player,

Still, I stay with Marbury & Stoudemire

all-stars are respected...itz those role players such as Tony parker,Larry Huges,Chancey Billups,Rip Hamilton need to be respected as well those players have never been in the all-star game but they done wut they're suppose to do...bench players like Claxton and Najera never get respected...so Jason Kidd i think u need to give more respect to those role players and bench players...cuz everyday u just talk about Tim Duncan,Jason Kidd...

Stackhouse and Pierce make a living driving to the basket and getting to the line. Them and AI take some beatings.

jason kidd, I really think that you're just putting Tim Duncan and Jason Kidd on your list because they're your favorite guys. Kenyon Martin isn't that aggressive against the better power forwards. He's really good but it only seems like he takes it to the rack when he's against smaller and less powerful power forwards. The Bucks had no answer for him in the first round because he was so powerful yet athletic too. But when he's up against bigger guys or is driving and finds two people standing in between him and the basket, he often puts up these ugly runners that don't go in.

see no body mentioned Hamilton...alot of games i saw...he drove to the basket plenty of times even though he was skinny...Nowtizki is the opposite he just stands out in the three point land or post up shoot the jay and he gets foul shooting the jay...thats y Nowtizki has 103 ft attempts this year's playoff...T-MAC and Karl Malone has lots of ft attempts as well... (726) yet Jason Kidd from estonion says that Jason Kidd is the one of the most agresive star :? doesn't make sense...and he didn't even mention Paul Pierce...

I know I am a Carter fan but in his younger days he was pretty aggressive at getting to the rim and the free throw line. He had something like 27 free attempts in his first few years in one game. But now kobe always seems to have double digit games at free throw attempts as well as t-mac.

AI is extremely good for his size.... damn he really is.
Pierce is great and so is shaq.

at age 37 he could no longer create his own shot..he's now reduce to a three point specialist....

Michael Finley used to be real aggressive, but now he settles more for outside shots....The Answer, The Truth, Stackhouse all top my list. Rip Hamilton, Kobe, McGrady, Jefferson, Francis, Maggette are all up there too. Ginobili pretty aggressive as well (most aggressive on the Spurs by far).

I disagree, he had that bad ankle, and he is having suregery now

I htink he is a 3 pt specialist, and always will be, but I think he could stil create his own shot

and as for drawing fouls, Reggie always jumps into people, but its there fault, they shouldnt go for his fakes :)
