I did a quick search and didn't find one of these open already.

They just won they're 8th straight game against the Knicks @ MSG in OT. Durant with 27th straight game 25+ points tying Iverson's run in 2001.

Do they have a chance at signing a big name free agent next season? And what type of player would best suit them? I've read Bosh's name mentioned.

Is Kevin Durant a chance to win MVP if he keeps his form up and takes them to the Play-Offs?

Do they have the worst jerseys in the league?


This doesn't have to turn into a "Thunder suck, bring back the Sonics thread' either. I'm aware of the everyone's feelings towards that issue.

They're name and jersey sucks badly.But if they keep playing like this they will probably be the fourth or fifth seed

Thunder suck. Bring back the Sonics. Clay Bennett deserves to be skinned alive, then live out the rest of his existence in a giant pool of salt.

Despite not having a frontcourt, the Thunder are a good team with a good future. This is obviously upsetting, considering that I live in Seattle. Sadly, they are lined up for a series against the Mavericks, which they would almost certainly win. At least their fans have to live in Oklahoma

Haha I was trying to pre-empt the whole issue because I wanted this to be discussion about the Thunder's on court performances. But I guess it's impossible to separate them for people here.

I'm not American and I wasn't following the game very closely when the relocation happened so I don't really have an opinion on it.

That said though I do remember the Sonics and always liked them. I remember playing against them on Live 99 when they had Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp

The understandable ire from former Sonics fans aside, I think that issue is slowing being put in the rear view mirror. I still think it was a tremendous shame for Seattle to lose the team and the circumstances surrounding it were disheartening, but what's done is done and it's not the fault of any of the fans living in Oklahoma City, the state of Oklahoma in general or anyone else following the team. The fact that they're winning gives most people something new to talk about, too. As for their jerseys, I'd still rate them amongst the worst in the league if not the worst in the league but have to admit I'm kind of used to them. A new design and a new logo would seem to be in order as soon as that's feasible, though.

As of this post, they have the league's longest win streak at eight, with a winning record at home and on the road. I'd say they're having a very respectable year to put it mildly, with Durant emerging as a legitimate MVP candidate.

Only one of the games was a blowout though. And i dont care if he had a bad shooting night, Winning by 1 does not mean alot. Im not saying one side or the other would definitely win. But it might be closer than you're assuming.

OKC sure has been one of the biggest surprises of the season if not the most. They were so disastrous last year. They well could be the dark horse in the playoffs.

It would have been nice for them to be in Seattle, as I don't reall live far from Seattle... I actually went to Sonics game once there with one of my friend in NJN's jersey to support Kidd, only to get hostile looks everywhere since Seattle lost in that one. He ended up changing to Seattle shirt that was given at the door in the washroom when exiting the dorm.

The Mavericks aren't even as good as their gradually declining record. Their Pythag record is 32-24, and while Haywood may help that, it might not.

The Mavericks aren't even as good as their gradually declining record. Their Pythag record is 32-24, and while Haywood may help that, it might not.

That still doesn't place them in the "almost certain to lose" category, and they HAVE won three in a row since losing to the Thunder, so it's not like their record has continued declining since their January and February shittiness...

Anyway, that's all off-topic. Just making sure: Kevin Durant is a beast - completely or undoubtedly agree? How long is that streak gonna go for? Crazy stuff.

Tough break on that one, the Suns got the job done defensively on that last play (though there's not a whole lot you can do in 0.7 seconds, you're taking whatever shot you can get). Pretty good game though, the Thunder themselves came back from being down double digits to be in a position to win the game in the first place.
