ESPN's Power Rankings heading into training camp

Check them out here.

The Bulls and Wizards are ranked a little too high in my opinion. I'm expecting another slow start for the Bulls, though that probably would've been the case even with Gordon. The circus trip is never kind to the post-championship teams.

Nuts... I don't like how he ranked Heats under Raptors and Wizzards. :/

Damn, this dude doesn't give enough credits to Grizzlies... Rofl...

I'd put Hornets and Jazz ahead of Hawks and Suns.

I like Mavs placement in 7. Didn't know that Andre Miller in the Blazers and a Okafor to Chandler trade happen when I have read the article.

Pathetic list from one of the worst in the business. ATL at 9 and PHX at 10 are ludicrous.

This ranking will totally be revamped after first week into the season or even during the pre-season anyways.

My three, after LA, would be Cavs, Celtics, Magic. Orlando did the great addition thing, but now they remind me of the 03-04 Mavs by getting Carter.

Surprised my Mavs came in at no. 7, I'd put Portland slightly ahead of them, but it's close enough to be a push until we see both teams pan out.

Phoenix at 10 is ludicrous. There aren't really any teams below the Hawks really worthy enough to surpass them.

03-04 Mavs is the time where their roster has Jamison and Walker right?

The Hawks are easily the most overrated team right now. Coming off an above average season, then swapping a role player having a career year for a chucker who can't defend won't help win games. When the hawks finish the season below .500, I can say I fucking called it.

Agreed. But they have been a surprising team for recent years and with Josh Smith in prime, maybe they will surprise us once again. I highly doubt they'll keep up to be at 9th in power ranking though since there are many teams in East with upsides compared to last year.

I'm just worried about the Heat at the moment. They haven't really made any moves this summer but ended up getting Quentin Rechardson for Blount. I don't see how that is going to improve the team so again, it's going to be Wade carrying the big load once again. If the young guys like Beasley, Cook and Chalmer improve a lot, I think we will be even better this year. But still, I just don't see Bulls, Raptors, or Wizzard being a better team than us like the list suggests. I think we should be right up there with Atlanta as far as the power rank is concerned at least for now.

They need to pack The Drain's expiring contract with Beasley for Boozer and filler before everyone realizes that Beasley won't pan out as an affective NBA player.

I am not really keen on Beasley's potential now too but there is no way the management will send him somewhere just yet. That idea, I totally support. Boozer could definitely be a player that could lead us to a next level.
