Johnny Red Kerr, Rest in Peace.

During the Lakers/ Suns game, I heard the news and, well, it feels like the death of a family member to be honest. Growing up, watching WGN games on Foxsports here with MJ, Pippen and Rodman, Red Kerr was always there. His enthusiasm for the game made him loved by all basketball fans, much like Chick Hern.

I also heard that the Bulls threw together a night for Johnny not so long ago. I've searched on youtube and found the links if anyone wants to see what Jordan, Pippen, Obama and other important people in his life had to say to him.

I'm really glad the Bulls put this forward so Johnny was able to hear the appreciation all those people have for what he has done. Such a classy organisation in every sense of the word and Jerry Reinsdorf deserves a great deal of respect for that.

Rest in Peace.

More sad news in the wake of Norm Van Lier passing earlier in the day. I too am glad that they were able to honour him while he was around to receive the well-deserved appreciation and adulation. Rest in peace.

What a sad day not only for the Bulls organisation but the entire league. These sort of people deserves the honour they're due and I'm really happy for Kerr that he was able to acknowledged the appreciation people have for him while he was still alive. Rest in peace.
