Nets Are Offering Yi, Anderson, And Draft Picks For Amare

Postby Clueminati017 on Mon Feb 09, 2009 6:42 am

The Nets have reportedly inquired about Amare Stoudemire, and are waiting to hear from Suns general manager Steve Kerr about their initial bid.

The offer, according to a general manager aware of what Kerr is looking for, would likely include Yi Jianlian, Ryan Anderson, and one of three first round picks that New Jersey has in the next two drafts.

In order to match salaries, the Nets would probably ask the Suns to take Bobby Simmons off their hands as well.

"I think the Nets could make a quality offer, though it depends largely on how the Suns feel about (Yi). But Amare could make a lot of teams formidable overnight," the aforementioned GM said.

If Kerr acepts this trade, tomorrow he's founded dead.

I prefer Amar'e for Tyrus Thomas + Nocioni + picks

LMAO!!!!

Seriously, if he does accept this. I smell impeachment coming his way, and he would be the worst GM than Isaiah Thomas. There's no way in hell he has to accept that with thinking he pull a Danny Ainge out from his ass.

I agree... Thomas, Noc, and picks for STAT.

I thought Ben Gordon may be getting traded?

If Gordon is included he has 1y $6M contract and Phoenix won't sign him for more money and he ends being a free agent... Nocioni has 5y $8M so I prefer el Chapu.

Phuk this trade, Amare is staying in Phx! Yi, Anderson, WTF does not = Stoudemire! Yi and Anderson will not help the Suns make the playoffs this year! I thought this was the year that the Suns would want to make their final push at championship with ailing Nash, Shaq and Hill. At least trade for some experienced players, like Nocioni.

Absurd idea. Amar'e isn't having that bad of a year to be traded for two very inexperienced players. Nets definitely getting a steal if this happens.

Amare can get the suns way much more than Yi. But hey, if Kerr is their GM, everything is possible

Surely, Kerr would only accept that deal if everyone else is really trying to lowball him and he's desperate to part ways with Amar'e. That's not a move that inspires confidence in a rejuvenation in the immediate future.
