Bobby Jones

I was looking through some random realgm articles and stumbled across one on the miami heat page about waiving Bobby Jones. One interesting thing i read in the article was this:

RealGM wrote:Overall, he appeared in 47 games last season, with five teams including the Heat

This bloke played on 5 teams in the one season, memphis, houston, san antonio, denver and miami

Would this be some sort of record?

Maybe he can hold the record for most teams in a season...

I know a record that Jim Jackson hold with two others, that's for playing with 12 differents teams

I guess number 2 might apply to him.

I think it might be a record, assuming this list is up to date.

Maybe so, but he can still say he's played in the NBA which is something most of us (and unless we've got some current or former players lurking here, all of us in this forum) can boast.

He was traded to New York along with Taureen Green in exchange for Renaldo Balkman. The Knicks cut him and the Heat claimed him but have ended up cutting him as well.

So? He achieved his aim of playing in the NBA and is still pursuing that dream. That's probably more than that hypothetical sarcastic fan has achieved. ;)
