Darius Miles career over?

Postby charley3fly on Wed Apr 16, 2008 4:11 pm

He was waived by the Blazers yesterday, and reports say his knee injury was/is a career-ending one. His attitude problems aside, this is really sad, not only because he had so much talent, but he's still only 26 years old! Reminds me of Jonathan Bender.

Really a shame. He was a very talented guy and could be a good player, but injuries destroyed his career. This wasn't the only one.

At least the Blazers have some nice cap space for the summer. 8M off the books.

And yet he will probably still be in the next NBA Ballers game.

For Paul Allen, Darius Miles has been to the Blazers, what Windows Vista is to Microsoft.

With all the millions Darius Miles has earned, he should be able to make some thing out of himself.
YEAH BOY!

If his career to this point is any indication, he probably wasn't going to turn it around anytime soon but it's unfortunate for him that he won't have the opportunity. Hopefully for his sake, he'll be careful with his money and avoid resurfacing in the news for all the wrong reasons, a la Isaiah Rider.

He was a great player... Remember one of is last games? he scored 44 if i don't miss the scoree...

He is one of my favourites... quite sad as J. Bender... Great players with size, ability, so young but horrible knees...

Sad :(

"Great player" is a stretch, he had some average seasons and a couple of big games like the 47 point outburst but he never came close to living up to the potential he was touted as having. The topic badreligionau made in the NBA Live General section reminded me that he was great player to have in NBA Live though, someone I used to trade for a bit for a while there because he'd always develop and his skills were generally put to good use in a video game.

Exactly. And if he's hasn't been taking care of his money, then shame on him.
