Olympic Team

Postby Fresh8 on Thu Mar 20, 2003 2:28 pm

Well... this may be a bit early but lets discuss the next US team...

This is mine-
Centers (2)= Shaq and Ben Wallace
Power Forwards (3)= Karl Malone, Tim Duncan and Jermaine O'neal
Small Forwards (2)= T-mac and KG
Shooting Guards (3)= Kobe, Allen Iverson and Paul Pierce
Point Guards (2)= Steve Francis and Gary Payton

Also for three reserves add in;
1. Ray Allen
2. Antoine Walker
3. MJ or Stock as a tribute

Coaches have already been picked and good luck to Team USA... go China with Yao, Wang and Mengke!

argument 1
MJ in 2004?

argument 2

in the reserves as a tribute?!?
that would be lame, what kind of a tribute it would be if you'd put them to the reserves!!!
and they're probably too old then [they're even too old now]

anyways here's mine

C - Tim Dunkan
F - Chris Webber
F - Kevin Garnett
G - Kobe Bryant
G - Jason Kidd
----------------------
B1 - Tracy McGrady
B2 - Allen Iverson
B3 - Ben Wallace
B4 - Gary Payton
B5 - Shareef Abdur-Rahim
B6 - Jermaine O'neal
B7 - Shaquille O'neal

Jordan won't play for team USA, he'll retire. Neither will Shaq, he doesn't want to play on a team without Phil Jackson. Even Garnett is questionable, but it seems Kidd will convince him to play...
I doubt Iverson will be in either... not because of his skill, but because of his rep.

Duncan, McGrady, Kidd, Allen, Bibby, Malone and Bryant probably, are the only names linked to the team as of yet, if I'm correct. I also wouldn't be suprised if King James ends up in the squad...
